Tier 2 EC application and queries

Post by Shaz917 » Sun Apr 10, 2016 12:10 am

Is it ok if the main applicant goes to uk first and the family follows after a month...this after applying for and getting a tier 2 visa and tier 2 dependent visa at the same time...or do they all have to arrive in uk traveling together?

Family can travel later as long as they travel within the 30 day visa expiry date.

Yes, it should not be a problem provided the requirements and maintenance is met.

Unknown date of birth of parent

Post by Shaz917 » Mon Apr 18, 2016 9:18 pm

Kindly help !!
My husband is filling out general tier 2 visa application...he doesn't have his fathers date of birth...as he passed away years ago and there are no records of his DoB
1.What do we write in place of fathers DoB?
2.we had visited the UK on holiday 3 years ago...had filled out visa application form then too...my husband doesn't remember what DoB he entered for his father at that time....if the two dates are different...will that create any problems in the visa application??
How do we solve this???

1) Write Unknown if unknown.

2) Not much you can do if you cannot remember what you had submitted last time.

Next time keep a copy (& scans) of all forms & documents submitted (including payment details).
That should be standard practice for anyone on a migration journey. Keep such records safely for ever, you never know when you will need to refer to them again.

In my case I had entered wrong DoB of my father in my previous T2 app. This time I wrote the correct one and and put a note in the additional information section saying "...submitted wrong DoB due to an oversight in my previous app...". Worked out just fine.

Naric..didn't know about it!

Post by Shaz917 » Tue Apr 26, 2016 4:14 pm

My husband took out the PBS print out end March and and after filling the forms...submitted the visa application on the 19th of April ...
The interview date is 28th April...today(26 April) we found out that the new NARIC policy
We have applied for that as well...will that suffice ? Will the visa processors take it into consideration?

Will it make any difference if the Cos issuer is nhs and the job is for a highly skilled Doctor?

No. PBS calculator is no longer accepted for any applications. You need ELA/SoC NARIC.

I think the opening post, if not the title, answers that question pretty much clearly.

Keep your Tier 2 queries in a single topic.
