Deportation threat - 3 BC children

Hopefully someone can assist with suggestions.

An acquaintance is in serious trouble.
Summary
Was convicted of mortgage fraud and sentenced to 18mnt, served 4 months and released. Meanwhile, he was waiting on a decision when all these happened. Application was denied and was subject to Deportation.

Never been in trouble before or since, has never been in receipt of benefits, always been employed. HO acknowledged all these and recently denied application on human rights due to 3 kids. He inflated income for mortgage but never defaulted.

Letter says something about section 32 (5) etc.

That'll be paragraph 322 (5) of Immigration Rules.
