Application for British Citizenship based on marriage

Post by MONARO » Tue Nov 27, 2007 12:00 am

Hello,

I hope someone can help me with a couple of queries,

I have been married to a british citizen and had ILR at the beginning of 2007.

based on the requirement for Citizenship I need to be in UK for 3 years.
I have finished the three years requirement period 3 weeks ago.

I have two questions,

i had a speeding ticket "driving on 40mph on 30mph road" and I was issued a penality of 60 pounds and 3 points on my license.
I have paid the penality using automated service over the phone,

Will this affect my application? do I need to mention this under the offences section of the application form?

The second question is, Me and my partner have been having marriage problems for few months now, and in case a seperation takes place, Will a legal seperation affect my application, will it force me to wait for 5 years to apply rather than applying now.

Thanks in advance for your help

The ticket will not make a difference, and neither will seperation, although divorce will.
