EC 2008 query

Post by lunaticzombie » Fri Dec 28, 2007 1:08 pm

will the processing change for applications send after the end of year 2007?
I mean is it going to make a difference if I apply on 31 dec 2007 OR if I apply after that, ie in year 2008?

but what about the tire system?

I read in newspaper (when tier system news came) that for tier 2 job offer would be mandatory..
but it was very vague and not clearly specified..
On there website there is no information regarding this...

My main problem is that I was planning to apply with job adverts printout, but if application is processed as per tier system I may be rejected.

share your opinion...

The tire(tier) system that you mention about is not yet implemented, rather it's not even been finalised yet. Only a consultation paper has been issued.

Assuming (as mentioned in the new document) the initial EC visa from 2008 onwards will be for 3 years rather than 2 years, I think people applying in 2008 will be at an advantage.
