ILR & Tier1 dependant post application enquiry

Post by zxof » Wed Apr 20, 2016 2:22 pm

Hi guys,

Anyone can help/suggest please?
I am applying my ILR after > 6 years here in UK as tier1 general visa holder
My wife joined me back in March 2013 so I am assuming she's not yet eligible for ILR and we're going ahead with extending her tier1 dependant visa.

I am a bit lost since I will need to send my ILR / SET (O) application to this:

SET(O)
Indefinite Leave to remain
PO Box 591
Durham
DH1 9FS

My wife dependant visa extension application needs to be sent to this:

Home Office
Tier 1 Dependants
PO Box 496
Durham
DH99 1WQ

So it means I will need to send them separately?
Other than that of course certain "shared documents" (bank statements etc), there's only 1 original document.
So my wife application will be attached only with the copy of the document (with my note saying the original is attached to the other application). Will this acceptable?

Thank you in advance.

AFAIK, letters being sent to different address need to be sent separately. That is how they reach the intended address(es) without being lost.
I don't think that will be acceptable. Ask your bank to issue "duplicate statements" that you can use with either application.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

Thanks for your reply.

Yep bank statements was the first comes to mind but no other shared document needed on both application that is not as simple as bank statements?
Such as marriage certificate (I suppose only my wife application needs this?).

Of course! Why would a migrant need to send a marriage certificate for his/her (only) application with no (spouse) dependant included? Common sense!
List all the "etcs." here then.

Yeah, I think I was just panicking/confused a bit with this 2 parallel applications thing. Thanks BTW.
