Hi All,

I received all my documents and the approval letter today by airmail. They were posted by HO on 29th November. Except a bit of mishandling in case of the tax filing papers I submitted to them, all other documents are in good condition.

Thanks a lot for this forum & everyone in this forum for being so responsive..

GMReddy & shakirpa2002, I guess even your documents will be on their way.... keep in touch with your postman (or) visit your local post office and enquire.... tell your postman that you are expecting a package from UK..... I think very soon you also will be receiving all your documents....

Regards,
PraHSMP

Hi Folks,

Going by the timelines of the Royalmail delivery I would recommend people to arrange for a courier pickup of your documents once a decision is taken.

In my case I went through Mail Boxes Etc Sheffield and got my docs in less than a week.

Let me know if you need info about how to go about this.

Cheers

Hi Everyone

I was wondering as if I was the only one waiting for the documents to get back. Its very strange that despite of Christmas holidays suspection, the documents are being received regularly by applicants in India and Pakistan whereas at the same time many are still waiting to have any clue of their valuable documents. Here are my time lines

Application Sent: 21st NOV 2007 (Pakistan)
Application Reached HO: 23rd NOV 2007
Decision Made: 27th NOV 2007
Address Confirmation Mail: 27th NOV 2007 (Issued Ref No)
Decision Mail: 3rd DEC 2007 (Docs sent back on confirmed address)
Docs Received Back: STILL NOT

I would congratulate those who got their docs safely back after a long waiting state at the same time will encourage all those who are still waiting to post once they receive much awaited docs just to keep hopes alive.

Thanks

HSMP Doc's delivery???

Post by santhugk » Sat Dec 29, 2007 7:46 am

Hello,

I am new to this area. I have seen lot of posts & reply regarding HSMP docs delivery through Airmail. Even mine is the same case. But I have sent my application through consultant.

Desicion mail:9-Nov
Doc's despatched: 12-Nov.
Doc's still not received.

Any sugesstions? Please advise if I should wait for some more time or should start chasing HO people?

According to my consultant..it takes 4 to 12 weeks through airmail & we will not be able to question them until 12 weeks...please advise..any experienced people.

Thanks.

Shakirpa2002

You will only be given Tracking Number By HO if and only if docs have been sent back using particular service by RoyalMail that allows tracking of packages as long as current status is concerned, Airmail can not be tracked. So, wait and visit below link:

Santhugk

Yes HO will always quote 12weeks but doesnt seem logical once others are receiving at the same time. What you can do is call HO and ask if they have got any returned/unsent/undelivered mail.
There is one case in this thread which got the docs back after a long restlessness.

Thanks

Hi Hanif,

The decision mail only says that a decision has been taken on your application, and doesnt mention if its approval or rejection.

Earlier, HO used to tell the decision on phone, however recently they stopped doing that due to some policy change.

I came to know my decision only when I received the docs, however, I do see some members managing to find their decision on phone from the call center.

So I guess its about your skills to get the decision on phone from them.

HTH
Good luck.

Hi Hanif

knowing the decision by calling them is the only way before you receive a proof in black and white. This is also important to note that they dont always disclose to every caller it needs a bit of your luck as well. Keep trying untill you know the decision.

Hi bilalofned,

i have not called but i got a mail from my consultant telling me she called HO and that the mail had not been dispatched because i only supplied my office address,so i have sent her my home address for onward transmission to my case worker, she even wondered that maybe they just needed it for my file, since the mail was to be sent to her address.

They require an email ID in the application form to let you know about whats going on at their end and in the same box you may mention the address as well I think they missed that one or wanted to confirm the send back address but usually they do send mail to confirm address.
Anyway, its good that at least you found the cause of delay.

Cheers

Hi shakirpa,

I called HO...they told me the same story that the applicants need to wait for 12 weeks & still if u didn't get the documents..then you can request them to resend the approval copy again(don't know abt the original documents). And also the airmail doesn't contain any reference numbers because it is a normal airmail & not a registered one.

But one thing you can surely ask them on the call is whether your documents are returned to them or not.

Please let me know how would you go about this & we can share our plans & experiences. Thank you.

Hi Shakripa,

Non-delivered mails will be normally returned to them, if not it is difficult to track because the normal airmail doesn't contain any reference numbers.

Its better to wait for some more time, because it was Christmas & New year where the volume of mails will be more due to gifts & greetings as informed by our Indian Post office here in Bangalore.

I should have opted for a courier service though it is costly(some where b/w Rs.6000 to 8000) & it just takes 3 to 4 days for delivery & contains online tracking. I realize my mistake now opting for an Airmail.

Let us hope for the best.
