Applying for FLR(M) 30 days before visa expires

Post by knowledge_seeker » Wed May 11, 2016 9:21 pm

My wife's spouse visa will expire on 10/07/2016. Can we book PEO appointment 30 days before her visa expires or does it have to be exactly 28 days.

What date did she enter the UK on her spouse visa?

Was she granted a spouse visa for 33 months?

Then it should be fine to apply 30 days before expiry as there won't be a shortfall further down the line.

Are you saying this because
you can apply for FLRm from 28 days before being in UK for two and a half years?
is that correct?

If some one does apply 28 days before being in UK for two and half yrs by post what are the chances of the FLRm being granted within 28 days...? have you known any one getting FLR m within 28 days?

Thanks for comment

If you read the OPs post where they say it was a visa issued for 33 months and applying in person for same day. Please, if you have specific questions, start your own thread instead of tagging continuously onto other members topics.

Hi,
Please help and its quite an urgent query as I have already booked for a Same Day Appointment - UK SPOUSE VISA EXTENSION for my wife and kids.

Scenario:
[*]I hold a British Passport.
[*]My wife got her first UK SPOUSE VISA from India valid between 15-Jan-2015 and 13-Oct-2017 (33 months)
[*]She stayed in India because she was pregnant with twins who were born in Aug'2015.
[*]She travelled to UK for the first time only on 2-Aug-2016 along with my kids.
[*]My kids were given Mother dependent visa valid till 13-Oct-2017.

Now, I had to anyways renew her Spouse Visa twice before she could be eligible for ILR.

In order to travel to India this month, we have booked for a same day appointment on 07-Aug-2017 to renew the spouse visa which is earlier than 28 days before its expiry on 13-Oct-2017.

Please share your thoughts whether I can go ahead with this appointment (or) if its risky then I will reschedule to a later date.

Thanks in advance!
