Congratulations !!
What's the date written on your letter ? Just to see how long it takes to receive it after they send it. My case worker called my wife's employer last Friday, still hasn't heard anything from them ... I hope it will be my turn soon !

My timeline:
Application sent 23/10/2015
Application received 26/10/2015
Money taken 28/10/2015
CoA no work right 04/11/2015
Bio letter 04/11/2015
EEA nat. job update 07/11/2015
Bio given 13/11/2015
Six month term overdue
Letter sent 26/04/2016
Talked to MP and MEP... HO told them on 26/04 that within two weeks...
I called today and the answer was: keep waiting.

If there is anyone in a similar situation or anyone have any idea of what to do, how to know why the application is still unsolved... any help/suggestion welcome. I have a company waiting for the HO to get me on board. I have been unemployed for more than six months... I have no words to explain my level of frustration and how disappointed I am.

Hi there,
Update:
I received all my documents today along with a letter (dated 5th May 2016) to state that my application was successful and I will receive my RC in 10 working days. We did not receive any questionnaire, no home visits and the HO did not contact my husband's employer. We had sent my husband's proof of PR document to support my application for RC. We had also sent his most recent pay slips.
Our situation:
We got married in end of Oct 2015 in the UK when I was on a T4 student visa, and we sent the application one week after the wedding. We had been together for nearly 4 years at the time of applying. We had 2+ years of joint bank documents and 1+ years evidence of co-habitation at the time of applying. I had included a clear document indicating the timeline of our relationship with corresponding photographs.
Thanks everyone in this amazing forum for the support. Please feel free to ask any questions, happy to clarify.

Cheers and have a lovely weekend. Stay strong.

I guess there is a big backlog in HO on these days. I was expecting to receive biometric letter this week (applied exactly 3 weeks ago), but as i see on timeline topic, even 1st April application did not receive biometric letter yet (almost 6 weeks).

Do you think the problem is PR application due to referandum risk?
Last year on april, average waiting time was 2-3 months (even 5 weeks)for BRP, what has changed?

Hi guys,

Just had a quick question. Those who received their documents and a letter saying that RC will arrive in 10 days. Approximately how long did it take for the RC to arrive after receiving the letter?

Cheers!

Hello members.

I am holding EEA residence card since 3 years and my EEA wife EEA (QP) since 3 years.

I applied EEA residence card for non EEA children on 24/02/2016
Fees 25/02/2016
Bio 17/03/2016
COA 23/02/2016
My Passport requested back Coz I want to travel 05/05/2016.

I didn't receive any email confirmation for my passport return back.

How long it takes time to arrive passport back?

1, when I applied for EEA card which I receive in 58 days and children's case taking long while they have EEA family permit.

Any comments welcome.
Cheers!!!

Hi there,

First of all congratulations. Our cases are quite similar. As far as I understand you managed to get your passport back without withdrawing your process. Could you please explain me the steps regarding contacting HO, receiving docs etc.. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
ascio

Hi Everyone,

I applied for an EEA (FM) in January and got my Certificate of application with the right to work. Its been 2 weeks now that I got a job. Should I update my details with the Home Office and let them know about it ? Does it make any difference if I update or not? And finally if I have to update how should I do that? Thank you in advance.

Hi ascio,

Of course no problem. I requested my passport back using the online form in December after I received my COA. You have to choose "not to withdraw application" when the option comes on the screen. It came exactly 10 working days later. You can do the same. You can request for any type of document to be returned.

Cheers

Hi everyone.
I applied for eea FM route on March 3rd 2016. Me and my wife working for same company. She is from romania and I'm indian. She was employed in the company till April 2016. Now she changed from employed to self employed but still working for the same company as self employed. My question is ... do I still need to inform HO regarding this. Will it be a problem if I don't tell HO ANYWAY she is working for the same company.
Please anyone had same situation like mine.

Thanks in advance.

I think you should inform the HO as now she is no longer employed by the company you provided the HO with in the application

I've got this answer from Home Office regarding the time that starts to count the 6 months.

"The Service standard for applications is 6 months from the date of application which in your case is 05/01/2016. If you do not hear anything by the 5th July please contact us again"

So that means it counts from the date they receive the application.
Application sent: 05/01/2016
Application received: 06/01/2016
Payment taken : 08/01/2016
Biometric letter: 22/01/2016 (20/01/2016)
COA: 08/02/2016 (05/02/2016)
RC: 17/06/2016 (15/06/2016)
Documents: 28/06/2016

Hi everyone,

I'm just so frustrated and I have only you guys that likely best understand me. I applied EEA(FM) with my husband EEA(QP). Application received since 11 April 2016. Till this day, only one application fee was taken and we have received nothing, no email or letter. I requested my passport back on 18 April 2016 and also heard nothing from them. I needed to go back to my country cause my aunt is dying.
I did said that in the form but I guess the worker there probably do not have a heart. I wonder how do they pass each day knowing that people's lives are depending on them and still working like it's prior-phone age.
They don't receive calls, emails, do not respond to anything. They made us sent original important document by post and we don't even know if it is received properly. This is 2016! It is not really that hard to put the status of the case on the website to let people check; or at least send confirmation letter to let we know that they received it.

I came from a third world country and even my country's bureaucrats work better than this. I'm very shocked that this is the process of a developed country. I just wonder how this ridiculous process is not making everyone upset, or is it?

Hi everyone,

I'd like to share my dates. I had an issue with the COA. Never received it, and after requested it bye email didn't hear anything for a while.

I was very anxious because of the refusal for returning my passport (they sent only my husbands). Finally, after requesting the COA for second time I received with right to work.

I've read in the threads that it seems that it's not a good idea to request the passport back until you receive the COA. I wish I knew that before. If it's of help, be aware of that in your applications.

Currently I'm thinking on requesting again my passport, but not sure if my situation will be the same for HO or not, and afraid of not getting it back.

Luck to all!

Hi,

I see that I am not alone. I applied on 19th April. I did not receive anything since then. Last week I requested my passport back, it was an emergency, my very close friend died. I indicated it in the request, I told that please contact me/send my passport as soon as possible, because it is an EMERGENCY. I called them 4-5 times, but all same answers: "There is no emergency procedure, you can not do anything than waiting".

Besides, today I had a very good job offer. I dont know how can I prove my right with EEA FP until I receive COA and I dont know when will I receive it. According to EU law, I should receive it "IMMEDIATLY", but I even did not receive biometrics letter.

I will make them an advise. A person who wants to apply for BRP should go to post office and give their biometrics before application. Then put the biometrics received paper into the application. Also passports can be copied in the post office (because post offices can certificate copies as originals) and send to HO directly from post office.

Additionally, COA can be sent online. Because employer needs to get positive verification from HO, therefore no need it should be original or just a print out.

I hope everybody gets their document as soon as possible.

I applied last October... but at that time I was finishing my PhD in Spain so I needed to travel often. I didn't send the passport, I submitted a copy and the original of a Certificate of Registration I have (it includes picture, address, full name, passport number and is signed and issued by the police in UK). They accepted the application and issued a CoA with no right to work... the 6 month term was overdue and the only answer to my many calls was "keep waiting"... some weeks after and with the help of my MP and MEP, I got an answer. Application denied for not submitting original passport and the Certificate of Registration wasn't a proof of ID... something they knew from the first moment took them almost 7 months to refuse my application.

I applied again last week... let's see if I am lucky this time. Not working since last October having the right to do it because of their inefficiency. I'm married with my EEA partner since 2013, living together for 5 years, partner working... If someone finds an effective way to chase them please share it.
