PBS Calculator will no longer be accepted from 6th April.

You will need to do an English test then.

LIUK at least 7 days before as it takes a few days to upload onto HO system.

Think it is almost the same with English test. You must do an English test with a provider that is on the HO approved list. Any other tests (many advertised) are not accepted and neither is ESOL.

Re: ILR- Tier 2 - Absences from UK

Post by mjcr28 » Thu Apr 07, 2016 4:08 pm

Can somebody help me here

I am due to apply for my ILR in April 2016 - through T2 5 year route

how do I state my absences , as i was out of UK 3 times in 5 years and a total of (6+6+18 = 30) Also 98 days (ukba backdated my visa date visa stamp date is February but passport given to me in April 2011 so travelled on 12th May 2011)

so to be safe I am counting 98 + 30 = 128 days in total for 5 years

my question is i get 23 days annual leave a year, so do i have to state all my annual leave or only annual leaves spent outside the uk. my holiday in may 2014 was from 10.05.2015 to 15.05.2014 how do i actually state that its the same holiday (i have mentioned it as a breakdown below)

IE:
12.05.2012 - 12.05.2011 (98 days)
12.05.2013 - 12.05.2012 (0)
12.05.2014 - 12.05.2013 (0)
12.05.2015 - 12.05.2014 (6 +2)
12.05.2016 - 12.05.2015 ( 4+18)

Answers much appreciated

Only and all absences from the UK, whether on annual leave or not.

Annual leave spent in the UK is irrelevant for UKV&I applications.

Dear All,

Last few questions i am due to apply shortly

Thanks for your response in advance

1) Set (O) form – point 7.13 How long you have lived in the UK – Should I put only my stay under tier 2 here which would be 5years around the time I will apply. This means I am not counting my previous stays in the uk under diffeent visas since feb 2006.

2) Also 7.14 Please state what ties you have with 1) The country where you were born 2) Any other country whose nationality you hold 3) Any country where you have lived for more then 5 yrs You should tell us about any family , freinds or other connections with that country COUNTRY SOCIAL CULTURAL OR FAMILY TIES
what to answer here in the above country & social cultural or family ties column ?

As my family live here and are British citizens for many years. Also i have only general friends ? :?

Lastly rent a shared accomodation, and pay cash to my friend, do i need any letter etc ?? as there is a question in regards to rent.

Thanks to All gurus and members once again.

By the grace of Almighty Allah, my ILR has been granted today under same day service Croydon. :D

Special thanks to Geatrix, Secret.Simon, Casa, Physicskate and all moderators, Gurus and the admin at immigration boards who makes it easy for us to get so many questions answered in one place.

I have been using this board since 2011 and have received enormous answers and response.

I would be happy to help in any way for this board and will still use this to help others. As I was helped when needed.

No more funny smiles now    :?:

Well done from me too :)

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
