Hi All,
I'm going for ILR this week at Croydon, please read the links below in regards to my case.
To give a brief description:
I've been in UK since Sept 2007, initially on a Student Visa then PSW and then I switched to Tier 1 General in April 2011.
To achieve the required £40,000 pay scale for Tier 1 G I had to show self employment income apart from my Salaried income (these incomes were while I was on PSW)
In April 2012 I switched jobs and in late 2012 I switched to Tier 2 General and then extended it again in late 2014, which expires in Nov 2017.
I'm eligible for ILR since early March 2016
I have a discrepancy in my Tax returns when I was self employed when getting the Tier 1 G back in 2011. I had mistakenly combined the income and losses from 2010-11 and 2011-12 in to the same tax return, now I know this was wrong.

I wrote to HMRC on 28th Feb 2016, requesting them to amend 2010/11 and 2011/12 SA tax returns
HMRC confirmed they received it on 3rd March 2016
technical officer looked at it on 15th March and passed it on to a senior technical officer
Senior technical officer has been looking at my request since 31st March
I was initially given 8th of May as the deadline for them to reply to me and then extended it to 17th May, on 17th May they extended it to 02nd June, reason was they were busy.
I got a letter from HMRC mentioning the above dates. And have a letter from the accountant what I did wrong back in 2011-12.
Although my visa is valid till late 2017 I'm going for ILR now as my Tier 2 sponsor is making redundancies and I might be at risk, I can't delay applying for ILR any longer.
I'm dreading it and expecting the worse, but I dont think I have a choice other than to go for it now, as without a Tier 2 job I won't be eligible for ILR.
I'll keep you guys updated.
Cheers
