Eee2 rc travel restrictions

Post by Seeker111 » Mon May 23, 2016 5:56 pm

Hello
I am pakistani national in relationship with my polish partner. I got my residence card recently on the basis of unmarried partners in a long term relationship.
I am planning to travel to pakistani for two weeks to attend my sisters wedding. My partner cant accompany me due to work commitments.
I am concerned if that would be fine when i will enter uk. Is it allowed for the non eea member to travel alone or my partner needs to travel with me.

Pls advise.
Thank you

Hi,

If you have a valid British EEA2 RC, you will not have any problem entering to UK. It is not necessary for your partner to accompany you while you travel between "UK-Pakistan". Additionally, your should check your flight. If there is a transfer in other EU countries, you may need a transfer visa. If your flight is a direct flight, then no problem.

Its necessary for your partner to accompany you (or you should be joining to her) only if you are travelling to another EU country on the basis of EEA2 RC without necessary visa.
