Tier 2 Dependent Applied in Wrong Cateogry

Post by metallicaf » Mon May 30, 2016 7:28 pm

Hi Guys,

I am wondering if anybody can provide some advice.

I applied and for my wife's visa in 'Settlement>Wife' category instead of 'Tier 2 dependent category' in a rush and have submitted all the supporting document and have been waiting for a decision since a month now. I recently realised that i applied in the wrong category. I am now wondering if i should now withdraw my application & apply again or should just wait for the decision ? Will the HO still consider my application or reject it?

Thanks,
A

your wife should write pointing out the mistake and asking to vary her application. The letter should be addressed to the Entry Clearance Officer and sent via the Visa Application Centre
