Hi all,

I've just applied for my inital FLR. Switching from Working Holiday maker.
Was wondering if there was anyone else around in the same situation?

Timeline so far:

Me again...

This timeline is moving much slower than my HSMP processing time. I called today and the recorded messaged said they were only processing FLR applications received up to 12 December. Yikes.

So far I have:

4 Jan: Sent applicaiton via Royal Mail Special Delivery
7 Jan: Application received at HO
8 Jan: Payment deducted

Anyone else have FLR(hsmp) timelines?

Hi,

12 th Dec is not bad at all considering all the Christmas and New Year holidays in between.

My Timeline is also close to yours,

3 Jan - Application Sent via spl. delivery
4 Jan- Application received by HO

No further updates about payment as I have paid by postal orders.

Keep posting your developments.

Regards,

Baskey

Yes, you're right it's not too bad. I was very spoilt with my initial application so was hoping this one would be as quick.

And I'm impatient to receive my Ref number. Need to submit my urgent treatment form to enable me to continue working in my current position.

Hi,

I got my payment reference by email , it is starting with LT with 10 digit number/001 like LT1234567891/001. Is payment reference and application ref are the same?

Some urgent treatment info from HO

Post by hsmpLTOWN » Thu Jan 10, 2008 9:56 am

hi baskey,

Do they give you an application reference number? I don't know.

I still haven't received an email with a payment reference number. So I just called HO and they are still saying applications up until 12 Dec are being considered.

The person I spoke to gave me the payment reference number and said FLRs generally take longer to approve. I explained my case and she said I should fax an urgent treatment form in with evidence of the reason i am requesting it.

She also confirmed I haven't been assigned a case worker yet. When they receive the Urgent Treatment Form they will assess if I have a good enough case and I can call back in a couple of days to see if it's been accepted.

Any other news from anyone else.

Hi,

I think, HO updates their service standards on weekly basis only. So this may be the reason that they keep telling the status as 12th Dec.

Hi baskey,
Thats really quick. That means if one submits application now it can be processed in 2 weeks time. Just curious, how long before your expity of flr visa did you submit your flr application.

Payment reference number & application ref number

Post by hsmpLTOWN » Tue Jan 15, 2008 9:20 am

Hi erpfresh,

I think for the HSMP application you get an application ref number, for FLR or EC you get a Payment Reference Number that is something like LTxxxxxxxxxx/001.

I think they refer to them as Application for HSMP and Payment for FLR just to differentiate between the 2 numbers.

I've only received a Payment reference number for my FLR(hsmp).

Hope that helps. do you have any timelines you can post?

regards,

Just called HO and still no word on Urgent Treatment request.

The person i spoke to said they have a back log of faxes and it could take up to a week before it's showing on my case.

Any news from other January applicants?

Post by hsmpLTOWN » Wed Jan 16, 2008 11:39 am

can you tell i'm anxious...?!!

Just called the recorded information service at HO for FLR applications. And guess what...

They're now saying applications received up to 7th January are currently under consideration. Yay, we may have caseworkers.

Three cheers for HO! Hip, hip...

That's excellent. I think, not many people have applied during these periods. I believe most straight forward applications may only take a hour or so..

can I know what is the number to call recorded information service please?

Thanks,

I hope you're right baskey. that means we might have answers by the end of the week!

The recorded info is on the regular number 0114 207 4074. Press 2 for FLR and then 1 "to check on the progress of your application".

Congrats.

Have you applied for extension or initial HSMP visa?

Also if you could list your documents sent, might be useful for some people.

Just wondering if we send a postal order that would be processed then and there, won't have to wait for couple of days to clear like credit cards.
Which payment is the fastest do you all think ?

Hi ,

I have sent the postal order but people applied after me got their approval today. So I am not sure, on what basis they exactly process the application. Also they say 86% is processed within 20 working days and 96% within 45 days...and that means 4% of the application may still take longer.

So its a matter of which catagory you are falling under. Lucky people will fall under within 86% :?

Baskey

Does WP to HSMP applications and HSMP extension applicationss are treated in same timeline?

Or is it like HSMP extention application and WP->HSMP applications are treated seperatly

which iss moving faster?
