congrats cdraina,

I feel more hopeful hearing about so many EC approvals in the past few weeks

god bless the rest of us who are waiting now ...i think i am calculating the working days wrongly when i said this is day 5 ...i applied on december 28th evening and all those who applied the week before that - andy , cd etc have got their results having applied around december 20th - and there were just 2 working days for VFS in between 20th and 28th .

anyway , i guess the BHC mumbai turnaround time is completely different from the chennai BHC processing time as those who applied in 1st or 2nd week of december at chennaia are still waiting.

Lion , vishal, others - any updates?

Congrats on getting the visa..

Now i feel why i born on south

..the turn around times in Mumbai BHC is quite superb and deserves appreciation also..

Chennai BHC for some reason is in dump with so called "back logs" and hope some case worker hits a TON to clear it. A thought at this point is is all south consulates(UK & US) reaching its threshold?? is it the right time to have consulates in each cosmo cities?..why don we youth get power to decide such things???

Chennai BHC still no change in status today...I keep calling 48257788/8514/8516....This is VFS # and they dont have any idea about integra verification...Is there any other # u guys use for Chennai..13th Day today!

Hi Forum,

My status just changed to:

"Processed application delivered to Blue Dart on 07 Jan 2008"

I had applied at Pune VFS on 19th December. My wife had applied with me as a dependant.

One small query, do I need to be present at my home address when the courier arrives, or my parents can collect it by showing the VFS receipt?

Going by the timelines the package should reach me sometime tomorrow.

Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!

BTW , a query , someone pls update - i heard that from march they are issuing 3 year visas - why is that ? is it because of the new hsmp rules expected in 2008 .

Also , for those who have got 2 year visa recently - will flr be the same as current process 2 years from now - as HSMP is getting changed in 2008 , would not the flr process also be completely different ?

1) When it says handed over to Blue Dart, would that be in Mumbai, or at Pune VFS where I submitted my application?

2) At the time of courier delivery, will the guy just cross-check with the VFS receipt, or will we have to hand it over to him?

-- Its is in mumbai, you should be getting in late evening of tmorow or next day morning if blue dart guys are lazy.you can call blue dart customer care(google for the number) and track the packet by telling your pasport number.

2) At the time of courier delivery, will the guy just cross-check with the VFS receipt, or will we have to hand it over to him?

-- your parents can collect the packet by showing the VFS receipt..

Btw,guys who applied in chenai BHC..Again it was a day with lots of expectation with few candidates getting thru only from mumbai...ultimately ntg seem to have moved from chenai BHC..

hi vishal and others ,

i know this waiting is really nerve racking ....beyond a point , there is no use in calling or emailing them . Please try to wait for a few days and then try. You never know , the ppts could already be on its way back to you in the courier.

Guess this wait is agonising for all of us ...i have been putting in efforts for HSMP right from july 2005 !! we first waited for june 2006 as we were completing two years of marriage and the old scheme had points for spouse qualifications also. Then i spent so much of effort to get work ex certificates as per the old requirement and then just when my file was ready they changed the scheme in december 2006 . i applied under new scheme in april 2007 and fell short by 10 points as the income proofs were not sufficient . Applied again in october and finally got to the EC stage. Now awaiting EC results ....may god bless us all.

Hi Vishal,

I think Vidya is right. However, its easier said than done. This process surely breaks all your resolve to be patient.

I called the BHC this morning at the following numbers at around 10 30 and they told me to call tomorrow afternoon for a status, and at 4 this evening my status changed to passports handed over to Blue Dart.

So I do not know how reliable are these guys regarding the status.

The only way to check your status is on the VFS site, I think as mentioned earlier in the group they update the status around 4 in the evening.

Daslimy- call up BHC directly 044-42192151 to know the status.I came to know my integra was over only after calling this number 3 days ago.

Congrats for others who got the visa..and I guess these folks in chennai never do any work..absorbed in eating saravana bhavan idly sambhar i guess...Its irritating to the core!
