ILR for Spouse

Hi,
I am a British national for the past 3 years.
My route was Work Visa + Tier 1 General + ILR + Nationality.
I am married with one kid who is British National by birth. My wife is still on Spouse visa. It will take her around 3 more years before she qualifies for ILR. My query is related to the eligibility criteria for ILR for my spouse.

For the past three months I have started taking child benefit. I can afford my family even without this. But thought UK Govt has no issues with this so save this small amount for several years and give kid a surprise gift at 16th birthday if all goes well.

My question is, will this produce any problem in ILR application for my wife who is currently on spouse visa with no recourse to public funds. Please note it was me who applied for child benefits.

No problem at all. Claim child benefit in your name, child tax credit and working tax credits (if applicable) in joint names.
