Hi Jacky,

I am from India. Came here as a student and then working under tier 2 for 3.5 years.

I am married to French national 2 years ago and my wife is expecting baby in a week time.

I didn't apply via solicitor.

I need to know the status of the application. It is urgent as well.

Thanks in advance

Hi Kannangoku,
Its better u call them and ask for the position. sometimes they send the documents to your previous address if you have moved your home while the application was pending. Call them and let us know wats the status. was your wife working when you applied?? is she working now. sometimes these things can delay the process.

Thanks

Jacky

Hi,

One simple question. After you enrol the biometrics, will HO give you an email acknowledgement or will they just send you the CoA after some days?

Thanks.

Hi,

They won't send any acknowledgment. After your biometrics within 3 weeks time they should send the biometrics

Jacky and to everyone..

I got the number to call the home office. But I would also like to send a mail regarding the application decision/status.
It would be great if you could provide the mail id as well? Please.

I am a polish national and I have applied for EEA(QP). The timeline is as following

Timeline of application for registration for EEA national(Qualified Person)
1) Applicant Sent : 23 April'16
2) Application received : 26 April'16 (confirmed by royal mail)
3) Money deducted : 3 May'16

However money deducted was 37 GBP and not 65 GBP.

Today is 6-June-16 and I have not received any Letter of Acknolwegedment nor I know why only 37 GBP was deducted.

I tried calling the HO number and I was told that now they dont send any letter of acknowledgement. Is that true ?

Also she said 37 GBP was deducted as half and rest half will be deducted when it shall be processed. I am not sure if either of them is true..

Any advise ?

Hi Jacky,

I provided the following documents.
Both of our payslips for last 3 months and the bank statements.
Employee letter for both of us.
Marriage certificate.
Utility bills, broadband and mobile bills.
Tenancy agreement, HMRC letter.
Photograph evidence to show we both got married and few additional photos.
My wife is pregnant so we provided all documents related to pregnancy.

I was on tier 2 general work permit visa and it got expired start of June. However I can work because I received COA.

From what I learnt you need to provide your biometrics for every visa application. Even if you have already applied for the same.

Thank you very much for your answer kannangoku . Do you know how long it's take to received a biometric letter from home office after sending your application ?

Thank you

Yes I saw as well somebody got their RC. I applied on 6th. so it is just 2 days different in ours. In these next 2 weeks we might get some good news hopefully. But I really want it now, cannot wait more.

Hi Fasi,

That's great. Congrats. Can you provide your timeline of the whole process. When did you apply?
