My 6 months period ends on the 12th of July. Then I will ask my employer to issue the expediting letter.

So I'll wait, though no travelling with my children outside the UK this summer, only Isle of Wight

Please can someone please tell me if HO always do biometric everytime someone make an application.
I did biometric last time I was renewing and I dont know if they are going to ask again.

You are required to submit/enroll biometrics with each application you make (including British Citizenship). HO will write to you to do this if you apply by post. If you apply in person, it is part of the appointment process on the day.

I made request to UKVI on Friday 3rd june ( around 12.15) to upgrade postal application to premium service however as per application it says they will reply same day by 5pm.but i didn't get any response by 5.
However i can see in your timeline u made request on friday 20th got response on Monday 24th.
i want to know on friday what time did you make your request to upgrade. when did they debited money from your account ? it was on friday or monday?

Just phoned UKVI to inquire about the upgrade to premium services. I asked if I (having three dependants on the application) can apply for this £500 upgrade myself, without the dependants. The answer was - indicate it clearly in writing when sending this upgrade application form, then they'll see. Not sure if I'm doing it as my 6-month process time will be up in mid-July.

Interesting fact, when I asked them additionally about what they are processing, the lady has answered that as of last week they were processing Feb-2016 applications.

Astounding to me is that my application was made in mid-Jan. Alleging my application is on its way to be resolved?

Then choose option 2 - your application is outside of set time standards (otherwise if you choose option 1 - within standard timeframe - you'll be directed to the automated message telling you to wait)

On the Friday it was around 15:00. The money was never debitted as I wanted the PEO appointment. However, I think they will only take the money after they receive the file anyway.

Home office have no policy for sorting/processing application the people applied later they got their visa but january and february application still no response.
One of my friend applied 11th of april he got his visa today although his case was not straight forword he amended tax just before sending his application but he got the visa and I had applied in january I have no self employment my all income base on my job but I am still waiting so we cant say that if your case is straight forward they process quickly.
So please keep faith and positive hope instead of putting yourself in stress and frustration.
We all will get our visa very soon inshaALLAH.
