there's been so much going on recently, landlord wants to sell the property and we have to move out in two months if we are not putting an offer in. Therefore, we are, kind of, in a rush to purchase our own property, either this one or something else. Brexit would have a huge impact on mortgage rates. If the mortgage broker can get us a mortgage, we need to get it sorted ASAP.

As all this happened while my PR application as a non-eea family member is still being processed, that's why I need to request documents back from HO.

By sharing what I'm going through and getting advises from you guys, I hope it helps others, too !

Good luck to everyone !

From what i know its the liverpool branch
Durham only handle the payment process and then everything else is pass on to liverpool
Check this link to one of the topic that was created here.

I think Nel974 who has comment on this topic a couple of time might be able to help you if he is online

With regards to requesting documents back you can do it on line.
Link here: https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outrea ... ments.ofml
You request your documents within ten working days from the date you submitted your application.

I does say The return of your documents may take more than 10 working days if:
You request your documents within ten working days from the date you submitted your application

So I would say you good to go but I have hear else where its better to get a case id first then request back docs it makes it easier to locate you file.

I would say if you really need it for your mortage then go ahead and request it back now as their website doesn't say anything about getting a case id first

Thanks ill_gremlinx.

I have a case reference number / ID as shown on biometric enrolment letter and I received my COA today dated 06 June with permission for employment. I would say it's quite quick as I enrolled biometric on 01 June .

I will send my documents to the Liverpool office but will definitely make some copies first, which I didn't do for the initial application.

Hello Folks i just thought of sharing my PR (ROR) timelime though i kept believing and trusting in God Almighty,
Previously==
I applied for PR in 16/5/2015
Biometric 01/6/2015
COA Dated 9/6/2015
Refused 28/11/2015. dated 26/11/2015
Reason...... Please seach for my previouse post about my PR refusal,

I got encouraged and advice from Obie, he asked me to Appeal, send a reconsideration and if possible re-apply,
Reconsideration sent on the 01/12/2015,
Appeal sent 03/12/2015 (via onlinepayment taken),
Reconsideration refused on the 07/12/2015 caseworker said i did'nt provide the documents at the initial stage ( bloody liar).

* New Application sent = 11/12/2015, ( With bundles of documents )
* Biometric = done 05/01/2016 ( dated 30/12/2015 ),
* COA = 16/01/2016

* PR Biometric recieved = 07/06/2016 ( dated 03/06/2016) via DX Delivery Guy
* PR letters and documens recieved = 07/06/2016

I applied for PR on the basis of ROR i have retained my right in july 2014 and was issued another 5 years in 2014,
i sent bundles of documents of myself and ex spouse for this PR which cost 40 pounds to send and also include a returned envelope which i used in tracking.

A very BIG thank you to OBIE and other kind members of this great forum for your help and surport, may the Almighty God bless you all and for those that are still waiting you will recieve goodnews soon, please keep believing and keep recieving.

Hi Favour100,
many congratulations.

Can you explain that you appeal and and also send application at same time?
I am stuck in appeal process and in my hearing the home office argue that why i did not send my missing document in initial application time. I have won my FTT appeal but home office now in the process of challenging my case in UT. I am thinking to send new application in the same time i wait for appeal result.
is it possible?

thanks

Yes akz,
From the advice I got from Obie he asked me to appeal and same time apply,
I appeal on the 3/12/3015 and
Re - Applied on the 11/12/2015
I did both of them just to be on the safer side,
I will advice you apply for new PR forget about the time it consume or you should apply long time ago to avoid the appeal process. I wish you goodness soon
Cheers

Hello guys,

As I posted yesterday I received my card from HO and under it is written "resistance card of family member of union citizen ".
Is it normal?

"Resistance" card? And it just says "union citizen"? That sounds off, can you check what it actually says?

I only have a pink EEA/Swiss card as a Swiss citizen but I believe the official name is document certifying permanent residence (DCPR)?

Hello Noetic,
What it actually says at the bottom of my pr card is "residence card of a family member of a union citizen"

Is this normal?

Quite confusing with the different versions out there, mine is a separate card but the letter it came with in 2014 referred to it as if it was physically attached to my passport and would need replacing when I get a new passport. :roll:

You're right. Things can sometimes be confusing. I think the best thing to do in a situation like this is to call them for clarification. I called this morning and they explained that it is so because I derived my pr from an eu national. If you're unsure, just ring them

Hi all,

Thank you all for sharing your timelines. Congrats to folks who just got their docs!

I am an Australian married to a French national. We were married before we moved to the UK.

Here's mine so far:
Application Sent — 19 April 2016
Received by HO — 20 April 2016
Payment taken — 25 April 2016
1st phone call to HO — 31 May 2016 (I figured it had been a month, I'd better see if they had sent anything)
Biometrics letter received — 2 June 2016 (letter was dated 18 May, letter appeared to have gotten lost!)
Biometrics enrolled — 3 June 2016
Phone call from HO — 6 June 2016 (crossed wires: they didn't know I had received the biometrics enrolment letter)
COA right to work received — 9 June (letter dated 7 June)
Waiting for PR card + documents.

I never got a acknowledgement email, they seem to have stopped doing that. It seems to be a good idea to give them a call if you haven't received your biometrics enrolment letter after about 3-4 weeks. In my case it triggered them to look for it.

Given your timelines posted, looks like I might have to wait 4-5 months. Has anyone received their PR card sooner than that when it is a clear family case?

Thanks!
