OK, here it is the latest news... I was at the council this morning for NCS. All my papers are fine but... yeah.. a "but" again... when someone apply to naturalization the council check his/her PR status directly with HO in front of the person via phone, because we have to held it for 12 month before the application (since the law has been changed last time). The issue date of the PR card doesn't matter as we know already. So it happened to me as well and the guy get the answer from the HO that my PR status dated back to 04/2015 only. He didn't know the reason when I asked it. So it means the earliest time when I can apply is this year April. :? Doesn't matter I'm EEA national and I can prove my legal residence status since 2008 with payslips, P60s, etc.

The only exception is if someone married to a British citizen, then that person doesn't have to wait for 12 months. He/she can apply as soon as he/she get the PR card.

So I have to wait few months, again. And the form will change, again. And I have to ask my referees to fill it in, again. And I have to pay the NCS fee, again. It's a good game...

Do you know what happened to your case in April 2015 that was significant enough to be recorded in the HO CID or similar databank?

Might be worth submitting a subject access request to UKVI to see exactly what information they hold on you. That might reveal why they have you down as acquiring PR on that date. As we all know, telephone advisors are useless.

They've really messed this whole PR thing up since bringing in the new requirement in November, I don't think anyone really thought it through. Their own guidance says they the date on the card is not indicative of when the person acquired PR and they must check the caseworker information database to find out the actual date.

@Sas Sam: what is the date of issue on your PR card and for what period did you give provide evidence when you applied for it?

Definitely nothing what I know about. I did not change my job, I did not move to anywhere, nothing is happened around that date. I've started the whole official process in 10/2015. Before that date I've just did the language exam, and the Life in the UK test.

The caseworker guy at the council said the HO sometimes set the PR status on the same day when the issue date of the card. So seems I was more lucky than others but not lucky enough.

The issue date of the PR card is end of 11/2015. I've sent evidences (P60, P45, payslips, bank statements, utility bills, etc.) about my last seven years (2008), since I've been living and working in the UK.

Is it the relevant document what I should send to get these informations?

Request your personal data from UK Visas and Immigration

If so, I have some questions...:
  • - I guess I should tick the "Printouts from our computerised casework database" option at Section 2 (Part A), right?
    - Is the HO ref. number the Case ID of my EEA(PR) application?
    - What is the Port number?
    - What if I don't know my prev. passport number?
    - Should I enter the issue date of my PR Card at Section 6?
Thank you!

OK, I have some news... I've booked a new appointment for NCS in March. The appointment was today and they has approved my application! :)

I'm so happy now! :) So it's on its way to Liverpool to the HO and we will see... finger crossed! :)

BTW I've sent my SAR in mid. Feb. and that is still not arrived. I already sent an email to them about it (it's already more than 40 days) but the didn't reply to it yet.

Hi SamSam,

Thanks for your news! Fingers crossed!
I have also sent my application on 14th March via NCS.
They have called Home Office to make sure if late registration doesn't affect my good character requirement.
I'll keep you informed about how my application goes.

Thanks

Anusia

Have you got biometric enrollment letter yet? If so, how long did it take to get it after when you sent the application? Because my application has been sent on 04/04, the HO received it on 06/04 but I still didn't get anything from them. The money still not gone from my account, biometric letter didn't arrive, information letter from HO didn't arrive (about they got my application and they started the process). So nothing yet and I'm getting worried. Usually the people here get these stuff after 10 days as per what I can see on timeline, but for me it's already 15 days and nothing happened yet.

Thanks!

If you look at the timeline threads and the rest of this forum, you'll see the multitude of people who have not had their payment taken yet. There is clearly a serious backlog at the moment, most likely due to the fee increase in March and all of the EEA citizens rushing applications in before the referendum.

My payment was taken after 10 days. One user on here just has his payment taken after 4 weeks.

The payments are taken in batches and can take up to 6 weeks to process. The acknowledgement and biometric letters are usually sent out the same day that the payment clears, and can themselves take a few days to arrive.

Hey Anusia,

Thanks for the answer! I'm still waiting... Hopefully my process will start on this week as some other people said that their money gone from their account yesterday and they sent the application on the same day when I did too.

So I'll check my account in the next few days as well as the biometric enrollment letter will arrive on this week hopefully.

It's a very sad day because of the Brexit ( :( ), but it's a delightful day as well for me because I've received my approval letter today ( :D )!

It was a real roller coaster, but finally it's a huge relief for me. I'd say a big thanks for everyone who helped me during this route, especially @Noajthan! Thank you everyone!

I'll call the council next week to arrange the ceremony. BTW it's an interesting part of the letter as the it mention the local council what I should call but on the application form I marked a different one (near to my workplace). I don't know why the HO ignored that request.
