EEA fam permit

Post by malik1 » Wed Jan 09, 2008 10:01 am

hello every one, and thanks for the good work.
i'm a moroccan citizen, married to a british citizen and we live in ireland.
last year i applied for an EEA fam permit from the british embassy in dublin, and used it to go to the UK as a visitor, as we don't intend to settle there, and i wonder if i can apply for another one, or do i have to apply for a visit visa?
thanks for your help.

You are entitled to get an EEA family permit even for a short visit if you are coming along with your EEA Citizen wife

Since your wife is a UK national, I think you might have to apply for a UK spouse visa or visit visa.

At the moment his wife is exercising treaty rights there at Ireland. If it is correct, he is entitled to get an EEA family permit even if the they intend to visit.

I agree with eufreemovement.

In a similar thread, Richard66 had been fighting with the Rome embassy, and they have now confirmed that they will now issue EEA family permits for his wife to visit the UK with him.

Thank you all for your advice. I'll try and apply for the permit and see how it goes.
