Permanent residence card via surinder sing route

hello all just wanted to know few information about Permanent residence card if any one here can help me.As in my previous posts you can see i returned in UK via surinder singh route and currently holding 5 year residence card i just wanted to know as after 5 years i have to apply Permanent residence card can any one tell me do my wife have to do job or any kind of work for these five years to get me Permanent residence card.

If wife is your British sponsor then no she does not have to have worked (or exercised treaty rights in any other way) once back in UK.
Note Neither party should have enjoyed any prolonged absence from UK in past 5 years.
