Today Tier 2 Extension - Queries- Urgent Help

Post by sunny007 » Wed May 25, 2016 10:46 am

Hello Thanks every one for contributing your experiences and share you knowledge in this blog

I’m due to extend my Tier 2 General Visa with my Dependents, I just need confirmation whether I’m following the correct procedure. I'm going to submit my application today.
1. I'm filling my application through the following link for me and for my dependents, ( Note : I add my dependents separately in the same application by click add new , but at the end all details or in one PDF file) is this ok
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... r2-general
2. For documents List , they are just asking Passport and BRP ( for me and for my Dependents ) and 2 pic with signature on back for all.
3. I need to pay IHS( immigration Health Surcharge Fees ) but the problem is that here Is just one field to add IHS( immigration Health Surcharge) Number , will I get 1 IHS reference number and then I’ve to put 1 reference number for all dependents?
4. And after submitting my application ( I’m applying for standard application ) which takes almost 4-8 weeks, my question is when I’ll received a letter for enrolment for BRP at post office, do I need to book date on my own convenient? Or the date is mention on Letter?
5. Any Other Documents I need to send with my application?
6. My Start date is 10 August 2016 to 9 august 2019 , do I need to enter 9 august 2019 at starting date in IHS or the date when I pay the IHS Fees.

Thanks

I am not overly familiar with the process but will answer what I can.

1. Not sure. Why don't you complete the paper form instead of online?

2. Send what they ask. Don't forget the bank statements for maintenance funds.

3. I think so yes if you are paying one amount for all three of you.

4. The biometric letter takes a couple of weeks. It is not an 'appointment' system. You just take the letters and all of you go to the Post Office to enroll your biometrics. There is a fee of £19-20 each to pay.

5. See #2

6. I think it is date of application, but I am not sure.

.

Thanks CR001 for your reply
YOu have mention that I should complete the paper form , can you please redirect me to the Link , where i can download the form for extention?

because I've searched on the UKBA and found the online application link , which I'd mention in my previous post . i.e. https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... r2-general

at the end of the application , They have mention :
Information you do not have to provide
You do not need to prove you meet the required level of English because you have current leave in Tier 2 (General) leave to remain, or had leave in the past You do not need to prove maintenance because you have current leave in Tier 2 (General) leave to remain
( so its mean i don't need to submit my bank statement ) ? keep in mind my employer select No to the option " to provide maintenance .

Any one who have recently applied for their Tier2 Extention with dependents kindly share your experience.

Thanks

While paying the IHS Payment there was a start date and end date ( work start date , so I've put there my start work date from COS not the IHS payment date. ( for all dependents we'd received 1 IHS number )

I've recently applied for Tier 2 extension , and I have send all the mandatory documents which are mention in Check-list ( when you submit the application we can download that with our application ).
Mandatory Documents : all should be Original
1 . passport or travel document for Main Applicant and for all dependents ( if applying at the same time.
2 . The biometric residence permit for Main applicant and dependent ( if issue in previous leave ).
3. A passport photo for Main Applicant and dependent ( they didn't mention but I've send 2 for all). Remember :On the back of your passport photograph, please provide your full name
4. Document Check List
5. On-line Submitted application Print out ( IHS reference number was mention on it and also payment record was there ) so no need to mention IHS Refenerence number again .

Additional Documents : ( Not mandatory but send with my application )
6. Last 3 months payslip
7. last 91 days bank statement.

I have tried to include all the information for tier 2 extension but pleas let me know if you need me to explain it

Hello sunny007,

Did you manage to get the start date in August 2016 until August 2019? Or Is the start date from your new visa in June/2016?

Is it the same company, right? Does your contract with the company have an end date or not?

I want to do something similar: ask the company to set the CoS start date in the future...so I could have the visa extended in my hands even before the start date, but some answers from a few members confused me.

Let us know when everything is complete.

aplinhar- From what I have read, that seems to be the case. I am going to do the same next month. My visa end date is 14th December but I will apply in July for an extension (with CoS start date possibly in October), so will get the new visa beginning July/August, whenever UKVI approve it. The end date on the extended visa would be the end date on the CoS or 6 years after your first visa was issued, whichever is earlier.

As you have been working there for (I'm assuming) almost 3 years already, and you're applying for the same role and with the same employer, they don't need to do an RLMT. If asked while issuing your CoS, your employer can mention that you are exempt for RLMT as you are applying for Tier 2 extension.
