Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

Post by saneej4u » Thu Jun 23, 2016 3:03 pm

Alhamdulillah, Finally good news:) Guess what?....…. My ILR has been approved.

Here is my time line,
Post application: ILR SET (O) Tier 1
Date of application: 04/04/2016
Payment taken: After 3 days
Biometrics letter received 14/04/2016
Biometrics given: 14/04/2016
E-mails: Never received.

Upgraded to premium service: 15/06/2016
Upgrade accepted and application requested from storage: 16/06/2016
Decision email: 21/06/2016
Approval letter received: 23/06/2016
Biometric received: Waiting

Visa processed at Liverpool.

Regarding my application, I have done 2 amendment for year 2010/11 and 2012/13.Even though I have done amendment for 2011, I was above required threshold for initial Tier 1 application. For 2013, I was below threshold before amendment (difference is 2.5k).

My application for ILR was based solely on PAYE this time,
I believe reason for my successful application is, I kept minimum document required for ILR - No SA302 after amendment and not mentioned anything about amendment in covering Letter.

Thanks to all of you, I wish and pray that you all get good news ASAP.

Meantime any question feel free, I will be following this forum for another 2 more days.

Kind Regards

Mine was genuine mistake.
2011 - difference was 1000 pound - paid hmrc 280 pound..important point to note. II was above required threshold before amendment.
2013 - difference was 2700 pound - paid hmrc around 900 pound.

In my case I have received email next day, money taken after 2 or 3 days I guess. What I have noticed that it took 5 to 6 days to see/reflect deducted balance in my statement, but in available balance 400 pound deducted in 2 or 3 days.

Or you can email them again, with case reference say that I got confirmation email bot not any money deducted..if they say you are eligible it's just matter of time, hope they will take money soon, which they are good at.

Hi v1s2u

Thank you friend for your suggestion but mine is not too straight forward plus I've already received a letter that I will be called for an interview

quote="v1s2u"]Hi aditi & shwanmirza,

Go for upgrade it worth it...
I stressed out myself for nothing...just upgraded & got positive result...
If you have straight application just go for it.
I am sharing this because I don't want people like me to suffer.
If you have positive paper work then just apply .
Good luck.[/quote]

Hi
I am almost on same time line posted 20th of january and my application based on PAYE as well.
I suggest you already waited almost for 5 month wait little bit more because I am doing same and my application upgrade cost is £1200 as well this is substantial money no point to spend after such a long wait.
Hope will get positive result very soon inshaALLAH

Biometric letter recieved 22/03/2016

No updates since.

Still waiting for any news. Have considered upgrading but have decided that it has already been 3 months, so will only be 'up' to another 3 months to wait...
Recieved an email on 21 June via immigration consultant reassuring my application was under consideration and will be processed within 6 months, or they will email me if they cannot. Standard email.

Won't bother with upgrading as we have waited too long to make a difference now. Would recommend anyone wanting a semi quick postal process time to do it... This is the longest time of any of our prior applications for dependents (x2) and renewal (x1). By a long way.

hi all,

upgraded my BRP NTL application to premium service on the 15.6.2016 and got email confirming its acceptance on the same day
its been 8 working days and still no action taken, no payment taken, no communication, they don't answer my emails, called them , same answer "we have no access to case files, just wait"

the 5 day deadline has passed, I fear my passport never reached the premium service team, that it might be lost.
my question is "Is it normal that they haven't taken any acion whatsaever within the dealine?" Their email says that they will either make a desision withing 5 days or at least notify me if it takes longer, I mean its just a straightforward job of transferring my ILR from sticker form to plastic biometric form, I have already been granted ILR, what's there to check?
has anyone encountered this? please share. I am due to fly in 10 days, at my wits end

I may be wrong. But I have not seen any visa refusal through premium upgrade. What I am thinking is they upgrade anyone to premium if applicant is definately getting approval and dont refuse anyone and if there are any doubts about application or they come to conclusion that it may be a refusal they keep application for further checks

Hi everyone

Please I need an urgent advise.
I want to ask few questions I applied for ILR which has been rejected due to tax return issue I was on HSMP visa which is getting expired on 28th June my appeal for ILR is already in court and I haven't heard anything from them so far ...my wife is my dependant and her visa is expiring on 28th June too what am I suppose to do.

1. do I need to apply for my extension ? for safe side what if my appeal gets rejected..

2. Is my HSMP Tier 1 Status Is Still Valid Till 28th June 2016 Or It Has Been revoked and I am on ILR appeal?

3 .will that affect if I don't apply for extension? and just rely on my appeal of ILR ?

4. will my wife get extension ? on what bases ?

i will be very grateful for an early and quick advise thanks

Hi,
I have been to the interview. It was in a VFS office in Bradford. Interview was held via a video link. The screen says three participants. But I saw only one lady who did the interview (may be other person just watching me and listening). It took more than 45 mins. Asked lots of questions. all most all the questions were here in immigration board. No Tax questions. asked about accountant. my current working hours, how much I charge per hour, how do I meet/ communicate with clients, how I advertise etc. Haven't asked any hard questions. I think I answered ok. now waiting. will update you. Any other who has been to the interview. Usually how long they take for a decision after the interview?

Hi winnter_summer,

I received a letter from HO saying they want to interview me. It's been almost 2 weeks but there haven't heard from them since. Could you please tell me
- how long you have been waiting to hear about the interview
- how much of notice they have given you
- are you living closer to Bradford? Is that why they asked you to come over there?
