Dear crusador,

Did you get any response after that? i too even sent my application on 19th, it reached HO on 21st. Looks like HO is not working these days due to christmas...Please update us if u get ny reference no....

HO is closed till wednesday evneing. They will open on thursday morning 9 AM. First keep checking your transaction history if payment has been made. After payment has been done, then only your case will be looked into.

I have got info that my credit card is deducted. Can i call the HO customer care and ask for reference. Any idea when can we get reference no?

hi, i sent my application on dec 17th and got a mail on dec 19th from ho saying it has reached them and giving me a reference no. But since then I am still waiting and havent got any further news on my application status.
is it genrlly a slow period now or is mine taking a long time? am feeling anxious...
did anybody else apply around the same time?

Phani, you can call customer care centre...but reference number will only be provided to you after caseworker starts processing your application. At same time, they will acknowledge you through email or your address depending upon the option you chose while filling application.

Hi Chandra28

First of all you must feel lucky enough to get the mail in time declaring the application reception and most wanted Reference Number. Average processing time taken by CW is 15days which makes it in your case to be 4th JAN 2008. Considering Xmas you can realize the delay induced there in. So you may expect a mail in the first or second week of JAN 2008. Dont worry its normal.

you sure they intimate you visa email or address acknowledge whatever mode of info is filled in application?
how do we know fast abt decision?

i hav sbmtd ma case wid HO on 17th of Dec n it reached thr on 18/12/07 (cnfrmd wid royal mail) bt since then no response frm HO guys neither ma CC has been charged for ny payment :s a vry cnfsng situation for me.....nyone who can suggest me wot shud i do now????

Guys, some of us in the Dec 2007 HSMP thread have gathered some details about application received date vs reference number to try and track the progress in real time on our own:

Here's the date (application received/payment deducted date) vs reference number tally so far :

18 Dec - 2417xx
17 Dec - 2419xx
24 Dec - 2433xx
31 Dec - 2437xx
2 Jan - 244xx

2419xx seems a bit out of sequence but I guess some more data could justify it. However, 2419xx is the only one which has been decided upon this monday , 7th Jan.

Anyone else contributing reference numbers to make it more meaningful ?

Amount deducted for Creditcard :9th Jan

Hi I recvd my approval letter along with my documents today from the Home office. But it only says application approved, no mention of the points they hv awarded me. Is that normal , if so how do we fill up the HSMP proforma when submitting for EC?
Please can anyone throw some light?

Hi All,

My application was recd on 27th of Dec at Home office
Payment deducted on 31st Dec

I got reference Number as 2436XX( out of cunrty- India ) after comunicating with customer care on 11th Jan

- Not sure when the reference no is allocated.

I have been trying to reach the home office people regulary, but not getting any update other than the ref no...

They are telling the time lines has been increaed to 14 weeks from 5 weeks now.....I asked him if this is related to my case..he told they are not providing any progress updates to people but many cases come into this period.

I am wondering if they have made decision already and send the docs to my home town ( which i hv given as my address)....where am not stayng currently.....Dont know if there is anyother way we can track this..any help is appreciated.

Hi,

I got a messg from customer care people that, my application is still waiting for a case worker to be assigned. I am afraid, its almost 4 weeks and no case worker is assigned to my application.

Any suggestions to speed up , How can i do the urgent treatment now.

I have received a mail saying that decision has been taken on 22nd Jan. My payment was deducted on 28th Dec and ref. no was sent by mail on 8th Jan.
