Can he get a letter from his employer to confirm his salary and how long he's been working there?

depending on place, workload + info the embassy need, you may find that your husband is in and out the same day, with a visa or he may be asked to go back again for an interview, there was one couple in embassy and they got theirs the same day,my husband on the other hand was told to wait for an interview.............so there is no SET time, ranges from 1 day to 6months! i hope yours is a speedy one! good luck

So he's got more savings than you working in a small shop in a backward area of Pakistan? Wow! maybe we should all think about moving to Pakistan! :)

What I want to say is that the British Embassy might say your husband's claims do not add up.

Mooon, how long has been working in Pakistan? Please do make sure that his salary is in line with the local rate.

Mooon, I know you can't wait to have him back but it may be more prudent to put the money in little by little into his account, especially as it has only recently been opened.

For spouse visas, sponsorships by family members in the UK are no longer accepted. I'm not sure about family members abroad.

What does your husband do? Does he have good prospects of finding a job or already have a job waiting for him in the UK? That can satisfy the maintenance requirements.

Yes, include the job offer letter and don't go overboard with his savings.

In previous cases on this board, I think a total savings of £2000 (yours and his) was considered okish.
