The holy grail of a British passport is a further application made after a successful naturalisation.

Hi ,Initial passport request form was submitted on the 22 june, and progress form on the 5th July.In between I waited 10 working days but I am itching to complete another one on Thursday as I really need my passport back by the 20th. Really worried in light of othe comments where people needed to request them over 3 times .waterforelephants14 wrote:Hi lilpol, lilpol wrote:My first was 103000 and next is 103003..,but I read someone received theirs even though their number was 103009?I am desperate for my passport to be returned by the 20th..Good luck to you and keep me informed pls.ill_gremlinx wrote:@lilpo my ROD starts with ROD1029......... and my documents not returned starts with 1030........
I'm also desperate for our passports to be returned by the 20th - we booked travel ages ago and were expecting them to have been returned by now. We first requested our passports back on the 25th June, waited 10 working days, then submitted a documents not received form on the 8th July. Our ROD starts with ROD103007... and our documents not received starts with 10304... When did you first request yours back? How many requests have you submitted and how long did you wait in between? Thanks

To everyone else waiting for passports / documents: if you urgently need them, go speak with your embassy and maybe they'll issue emergency travel documents for you. DO NOT rely on UKVI.
It's been almost 3 months since I requested one of my documents back. I sent numerous requests. I notified them that I had not received my document after 10 working days. I sent them emails. I called them numerous times. All they tell me is wait 10 more working days. The call centre people are unable to check anything related to our applications so you will most likely waste your time dealing with them. One of them even pretended he was checking something, then he claimed he was unable to find it. In all I think they are the most incompetent public workers I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.
I got my MP involved and he got in touch with them last week but I haven't heard from him since.
Hi, yes, 10 days each time. Altogether it took a month to get the passport back.waterforelephants14 wrote:Hi nosana1,nosana1 wrote:lilpol wrote:Hi All,
Is anyone currently waiting for their passports to be returned? I waited 10 days initially and since nothing arrived I completed the progress form on the 5th July. I am a little concerned given that 4 days passed and still nothing:-(.
ThanksI had requested my passport some time ago, then had to do the not received form twice - I finally got my passport the day after the third form.ill_gremlinx wrote: I have being waiting 8 working days after completing the documents not received form.
next week Tuesday will be exactly 10 working day
I hope to get it before then or on that day
Dont know what the next step would be if i dont get it after this date
Can I ask, how long did you wait in between submitting each not received form? 10 working days each time? How long was the total waiting time between first requesting your passport back and receiving them? I requested ours back on the 25th June, waited 10 working days, then submitted a not received form on the 8th July... Hoping they'll now arrive but wondering how long I wait before submitting another not received form...
Hi agnetha007agnetha007 wrote:I requested my documents in mid-June, but they did not arrive in 10 days. Soon after I received the confirmation email with my case ID, so I decided to request again, but this time using the case ID. So, I have two ROD numbers now and their difference suggests that there were ~50k requests in almost 3 weeks time! It's mid-July now and I still have not received my documents back.. I will wait for few more days and will submit the documents not received form.
There's definitely more than just one person dealing with these applications so it depends on which caseworker's pile your form gets in.treski wrote:not even a confirmation email?Bumble wrote:I am in same position as you. day 103... and counting
feeling deflated
have not even requested my passport back, did think it could be an excuse for delays
based on what I have seen lately, i am now considering the possibility that requesting the documents or passport speeds the process up... what do you think?
I travel a lot for work reasons and luckily I have only had meetings in Europe so traveled with my ID card.
I am off for a one-week work related trip next week so I will wait until I'm back and, if no DCPR, I will request my passport.
I just do not understand how this works, maybe I'm thick, but this should work in a 'first in, first out basis' (unless there are issues or missing documents) so I am disheartened when I read about people having sent straight EEA applications more than 4 months ago still waiting, while the lucky ones still get theirs in 80 days.
That's great, congratulations!NMH2016 wrote:Hi All

Gremlinx I rung them today and was told to email them if I requested docs twice. Ring tomorrow as they will not give me that email address unless 10 day pass from my progress form being submitted.ill_gremlinx wrote:Hi All,

Wanted to share my timeline with you.
Application as EEA National
Received: 30/03/2016
Payment taken: 07/04/2016
Confirmation email: 06/05/2016
PR dated: 16/06/2016
PR received: 25/06/2016
Also my partner applied on same day as I, till now our timelines have been the same but she hasn't received her PR yet. Our forms were almost identical and both very straightforward.
Hello confuzzled83,
I would like to check with you if your partner received the PR. Because I am near on the same date of you and I haven't received mine yet.

Hi,
No nothing yet! I'm trying not to worry about it cos our applications were so similar I can't imagine what the problem could be other than a slow case worker.
Hope they arrive soon though! I'll post here when it does appear

But honestly they are just as useless as the call centre staff
I know there was someone a couple of months ago who did not sign the back of the photos. I think they got their documents anyway - maybe someone else remembers the details?anna99 wrote:Hi guys,
I'm coming with a question. I sent my application for PR yesterday and I have only just realised that I didn't sign the photographs on the back and they're not attached to the relevant page of the application - just submitted with the rest of the evidence paperwork. Did anyone do something as silly as I did? What can I do in such situation? Do you think they will let me send another two photographs signed on the back or will I have to wait for them to refuse the application and then apply from the beginning?
Ehh silly mistake, I was filling up the application in a hurry, went to take the photographs and just threw them with the rest of the paperwork. Now I'm gonna spend next few months worrying
Hi dandodex, how did you request to get your passport back please? I send my application last week and they took the £65 on Monday (11/07). I would like to request to get my French ID back because I have a week holiday in September and was going to go to visit my family. I am worried that if I don't request my ID back I will not have it on time to travel abroad.dandodex wrote:My passport finally arrived today. I had to ask for it twice using the online form, so 28 days since first request and 10 days since 2nd. Interestingly, it was sent Special Delivery although I thought they were being sent back 2nd class signed for.
Spanish citizen applying for DCPR:
Documents sent Special Delivery: 11/05/16
Documents received at Durham: 12/05/16
Payment taken: 13/05/2016
Request for passport return sent: 19/05/16 and 06/06/16
Confirmation email received: 26/05/16
Passport received: 16/06/16
Document Certifying Permanent Residence dated:
Document Certifying Permanent Residence received:
(or refusal of course!)
Seeing as applications seem to be taking 3 months now for EEA citizens I expect my DCPR to arrive by mid August.
yvonnew wrote:On another note, I have to say, this process has been unnecessarily stressful. It's obvious they've had a massive rise in applications in the recent months and hired a lot of extra staff, but the staff are incredibly misinformed and unhelpful.
I've called them late March to ask about the process of requesting my passport back for travel, and I've been informed it's not possible, when I googled it later I've found out I can request my passport back online and I received it after second request.
Then I was told I will need to wait to receive a biometrics card, twice, by two different people. I did a bit of searching and called them to clarify and I was assured that was not the case.
No...Bumble wrote:Any news on your application yet treski?

But be careful, you have to answer 'No' to the question 'Do you want to withdraw the application?'
A 'Yes' there and you would have cancelled your application!
