Tier 2 Urgent help, please

Post by delilah » Sun Jul 10, 2016 10:04 pm

Hi,

If an advert on Universal Job Match was modified slightly within the 28 day period, would this come up as a problem in CoS / visa being approved?

I also saved a copy of the advert which clearly showed the posting and expiry date (of 30 days) but I have just realised this is not showing up on the copy. Will this pose a problem? The copy itself was saved as a PDF on 1st July (which takes it up to 28 days of posting) so I wonder if that could act as further proof?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

If any significant changes were made in the 28 days of posting it resets the 28 days.
So if any of the following location, salary, hours, qualifications, role title, job description changed it would require a further 28 days from the date of change of the advert

Thanks. How about the expiry date not showing, do you think they'll be extra pedantic about it?

They prefer it all to be nice and simple. If you have a screen shot with the details at the start including the advert reference and the end of period screen shot post 28 days with the closing / expiry you MIGHT be ok. If the closing date was added at day 3/4 as opposed to day 22....

Para 28.18 Sponsor Guidance v 04/16

It would suggest it will not meet the requirements as the closing date was not included in the advert. It depends if you added the closing date to give 28 days from that point or just from the initial advert. Latter is ok, former not.

Also see para 28.20 :(

So... I've just been told it got approved. Still fairly nervous though, what will they check for when I apply for the visa itself?

Unlikely to be an issue at application stage.

The only issue that could crop up is at a future visit, they could query the advert etc. It would be a particularly keen officer to pick on the wording but it does happen.
Sorry not the words of comfort your looking for.

Honestly... as long as it's not an issue at the application stage, I'll be ok with it. May I ask what info exactly they'll be looking at, at the application stage? Thanks for all your help.

Just found out the closing date etc is all showing, whew.
So I should be all ok to go. Filling in the last of my application, can anyone provide a comprehensive list of what they will be looking for at the visa application stage itself?
