Feeling lost and no where to turn to with my wife's visa . We sent the application on the 8/06/2016 and we haven't been a conformation of delivery from the Royal Mail . My wife's visa is due to expire on the 15/06/2016 which is Now . We've tried to get Royal Mail to confirm it has been delivered but not having much luck. We have proof of postage that the visa application was sent on the 8/06/2016 which was a week before expiration. Feeling a bit lost on what to do .
Were you able to track your visa? That was the only way we knew it was delivered. Other than that you just have to wait for the HO letter that it has been received. From my understanding is that as long as you are in the process, if the visa expires it is okay. It's only if you apply after it expires that issues come up.
the Royal Mail website is saying the following
It was received at Tyneside mail centre and nothing after that

Finally had some answers from Royal Fail . Apparently when it went through the processing at Tyneside mail centre the special delivery sticker got accidentally removed . It was given another reference number and then sent on ! Nice to let us know as my wife's name and address was on the front of the package ! Royal Mail have a contact for the home office and they got back to them today . They got a reply this afternoon saying that the home office had got it and gave us the new tracking number
Wow, I can't believe that. I would be livid. Glad it got there finally though! Hopefully it will be a quick process here on out for you
Don't worry about the visa expiring though, from what I have read is that if its in the process of application and expires you're okay.
Best of luck! I just got mine back today, 8 weeks on the mark lol
