HSMP Extension query

Hello everybody,

I have to apply for extension in March 2009 and hence i need to know what are the documents required for that if i work through Umbrella Company. I have searched lot of threads with in this forum and i didnt find appropriate info. So, if any of members/moderator could help, i will be greatful. One more thing is i dont get dividends and i get payslips monthly showing all the information(Gross/Net/NI etc). But remember i am doing contracting and i am getting payment through umbrella company. Please help guys.

- Original contract of work with Umbrella company
- Letter from Umbrella company stating your annual income
- Payslips
- Bank statements
- P60 Income tax statement

Minimum of two from above list.

One last question. I should say that i am "salaried" in application form right?

My HSMP visa (initial 2 years) will expire in Feb 2009. Can someone please let me know the earliest date when I can apply for the extension?

Not more than 5 weeks before the expiration of your current leave...its in the Guidelines

Bear in mind that Tier 1 of the Points Based Sysem will be introduced by March 2008. Along with Tier 1 will be a new set of guidelines. It is possible that the periods when you can submit your extension application may change. Or they may not. So keep a look out for the new extension guidelines for tier 1 of the Points based system.
At present the guidelines indicate that ordinarily you should submit your application no more than 5 weeks before your leave expires.
