How long does Certificate of Sponsorship take?

Post by mkriayo » Thu Jul 14, 2016 2:49 pm

My Agency has applied Tier 2 General RCOS [out of country] in July month after RLMT.
As per GOV.UK guideline "The next monthly allocation meeting date is 11 July 2016". I still haven't heard anything from agency. Will results take time or anyone has received RCOS results between 11 Jul - Now?
Any Idea [Approx] July RCOS expected result date ?

Have you spoken to your agency? Have they been asked for extra documents?

When you say 'agency', what exactly do you mean?

Who will you be working for, agency or a company as an employer?

'Agency' - The COS is for one MNC Employer but they are using third party immigration consulting company [Agency].

I have asked that immigration company - They were saying they didn't hear back anything yet , they have not asked any query or documents also.

My Question is : Is there any one who has received COS No in July 2016 quota? Is the delay for generating COS numbers are from UK Home office or there are only some who hadn't received yet? What is the general timeline to receive COS if there was discussion for July quota by 11th July 2016.

Hi Seniors,

I am still waiting for the COS response from UK Home Office. I have checked that Home Office site is also not updated yet - "https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... ponsorship".

Is July 2016 COS decision is taking longer time than expected for everyone?

Thanks in advance.

One more thing , Generally COS allocation count is published in every month.
"https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... ponsorship"

Will COS Number is circulated to individual after this page is updated or before that ?

cos are "allocated" to employer.
employer then "assigns" it to individual. assigning the cos will depend when the employer does it. he can do it same day, he can take weeks to do it. it takes employer about 15 min to assign a cos.
