Their is no need of English test life in uk test for the citizens of EEA family members.

I have an italian friend who recently got citizenship and passport and she had to do both, english and uk life test so with that in mind, I guess as a non-EEA I considered a fact that I had to do it too.
Maybe the eeu law gurus here can provide some official info?

Any more news today?
Final update in my case. Received decision letter today together with all my documents (didn't send any special envelope).
The letter doesn't state when I acquired the PR status. It does state when their decision was made and this was on July 13th.
How do I know when I can apply for the citizenship? Does the count start 5 years from the moment I entered the UK with my family permit (Nov 2009) or from the moment I got my 5 year Residence Card back in Jan 2011?
Thanks.

Contact to the home office through call centre. Received call from home office yesterday that my case is pending. They can't tell how much time will take. Better to wait....
If can't wait then withdraw application

Hi Prince_irl,
Did the home office say the reason why your application is pending?

Hi Prince_irl,
Did the home office say the reason why your application is pending?
That's what I asked. They are only one answer wait ....
I asked them if the need any further documents or something. Said if the need they send me a letter.
In simple words they don't want to tell you what is going on. If u ask 1000 questing answer will be " wait " or " Withdraw application"

This doesn't seem to be fair at all, after waiting more than 6 months. They still ask you to withdraw your application if you can't wait.
Anyway, we shall be optimistic and hope that we all will have good news.

hi,
According to HO own website if any application takes more than 6 months, they have to tell the applicants 3 months prior to date of application that their application will need more time. It is also mentioned that HO will also have to tell the reason why application have to take mroe time. Another thing is that application have to be complex to take more than 6 months. Yet they have to explain with a letter 3 months before that 6 months time expires.

Thank you! This is very useful. If they delay my application, I will use this to argue and make a complaint with them.

That's not fair on you.
My mate submitted his application on the 1st of February and got his PR yesterday.
