Hello All,
I am trying to switch my visa from tier4 to tier2 in the uk using the premium service but i dont seem to know which of the visa type to go for.
I eventually went for TOC but i was told by someone that that might not be the right one.
Should it be
FLR (O)Leave to remain (permission to stay) in the UK in a category not covered by other application forms
or can anyone advise on what to choose.
Also, i have an appointment on thursday but it was for the TOC i chose, should i cancel and rebook and will they refund me.
I will appreciate a response.
Thank you.

Hi iworker,
Yes i do have a CoS and i have an offer to start work..I have finished my degree as well.
I just need to make the application and there is no option that explicitly says Tier2 when booking for a premium service.
I actually went ahead to make a new application and chose the FLR but none of the options displayed afterwards relates to my condition.
So i really need help!! I have dowloaded the TOC and filled the form, i just do not want any case of delay or using the wrong the form and all other drama.
Or is it that you cannot use Premium for a Tier2?
All other options are:
SET (AF)
Indefinite leave to remain (settlement) as a discharged member of HM Forces, or the partner or child of a member of HM Forces
SET (F)
Indefinite leave to remain (settlement) as a child under the age of 18

FLR (M)
Leave to remain (permission to stay) in the UK as the partner of a person present and settled in the UK, or as a partner of a person with refugee leave or humanitarian protection
FLR (O)
Leave to remain (permission to stay) in the UK in a category not covered by other application forms
PBS Work and Dependants
Dependant (Tier 1 or 5)
Leave to remain (permission to stay) in the UK as a Dependant of a Tier 1 or Tier 5 worker

Transfer or Replacement
BRP (RC)
Replacement Biometric Residence Permit (BRP)
NTL
No Time Limit (NTL) for someone who already has indefinite leave to enter or remain in the UK
TOC
Transfer an existing visa to a biometric residence permit if you are already in the UK
EEA or CR Resident Permit
CR1
Blue or yellow registration certificate for a Croatian national exercising a treaty right in the UK
CR2

TOC is not the correct selection as you are not applying for a Transfer of Conditions. The fee you have paid is likely not correct either. You also have to pay the immigration health surcharge.
You can apply in person. What were the selections on the screen before? You have to apply online too.

Hi CR001,
Thanks for your response.
I know i have to pay for the Health surcharge.
So which of the options do you think is right/best for my switching to Tier2. When i clicked on the FLR, the closest so far, i have this options to choose from
• Visitors (except Approved Destination Status & Permitted Paid Engagements visitors)
• UK ancestry
• Domestic worker in a private household
• Domestic worker who is a victim of slavery or human trafficking
• Dependant of a person who has limited leave to enter or remain in the UK other than under
the points based system
• Parent of a Tier 4 (child) student
• Discretionary Leave (DL) where the applicant has previously been granted a period of DL but
has not previously been refused asylum or granted less than four years Exceptional Leave
• Relevant Civilian Employee
• Member of an Armed Forces who is not exempt from immigration control
• A dependant of a member of an armed force (not HM Forces who should complete FLR(AF))
who is exempt from immigration control under the Immigration Act 1971
• Locally engaged staff of a Diplomatic Mission
• Other purposes or reasons not covered by other application forms : This one was not part of the options when booking for the premium service.
How do i go about this, because if i am cancelling i have to do that by today; i hope i will be refunded

Can you list each of the options from the beginning. We don't all have log in details as most of us have completed out immigration journey.
Yes, you have to apply online but not sure if before or after you book appointment, again, I do not have access to the online systems

You are not applying for FLR in the sense of the options. You need to select the one above I have bolded and underlined. Tier 2 is a PBS work visa.

Which one of these two are you selecting?
PBS Work and Dependants
Dependant (Tier 1 or 5)
What does it give you after you select this one:
PBS Work and Dependants

Tier 2 is a PBS route though.
Not sure if you get the option of Tier 2 after you have completed the online application form.

Doing the online application now to see what comes up afterwards..
Also, do you think its an issue if i put in that my CoS was issued for less than 3years whereas it is for 5years? This is due to funds, as i can only apply for a 3years Tier2 now.
Thanks.. I really really appreciate your help thus far.

If your CoS is for 3 years, you have to apply for a Tier 2 for 3 years. You cannot apply for a longer period than your CoS.

My CoS is for 5years but i want to apply for 3years
But part of the application asks "What is the length of your CoS?" and i want to enter 3years or less because that is what i am applying for.
If i dont do this then i have to pay IHS of 5years

CR001,
Thanks for your help today..
The premium booking and IHS charge are all inclusive in the online booking..After the application you get to the page where you choose which service you want and go ahead to pay for the health surcharge.
I am now trying to get an appointment that i wont have to pay extra for outside hours.
I appreciate your patience and help.

what is likelihood of getting an earlier date when you reschedule you appointment?
I need an earlier date, i have been reloading the page to get one hopefully.
But if i go ahead and book the earliest date available, can i reschedule to an earlier date?

Does that affect my previous booking?
