ILR Approved (Tier 1G - Ltd Cmpy)

Post by Devil81 » Tue Jul 26, 2016 4:39 pm

Hi folks,

It’s time to return the favours. My ILR has been approved today at Croydon PEO and I am really thankful to the forum and the members.
I will cut the chase as we all know the drill.

Employment: Director (Ltd Company)
Appointment: 8.40am.
Documents submitted, biometrics captured and photograph taken: 9.45am
Documents ready for collection: 12.45pm.
Overall the whole process took little over 4 hours.
Awaiting BRP.

I submitted following documents with my application:

Cover Letter
ILR SET(O) form version 04-16
For KOLL:
- LIUK test pass notification letter
- UK NARIC English Language Proficiency statement.
- Medium of instruction letter from university.
- Medium of instruction letter from college.
- Previous IELTS test report (Not SELT).
Note: Although I had proven my English language skills in previous Tier 1(General) applications, documents were submitted for reference.

For Earnings:
- Accountant letter & Income Schedule.
- Payslips.
- Dividend vouchers.
- Personal bank statements.
- Business bank statements.
- Agency Invoices.
- Self-Assessment Tax Returns for 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15 & 2015-16.
- Self-Assessment calculations for 2012-13, 2013-14, and 2014-15 from HMRC.
- Self-Assessment statements from HMRC.
- Report & Accounts for 2012-13, 2013-14, and 2014-15.
- P60s for 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2015-16.
- Employment history from HMRC for 5 years.
- Copy of data protection from HMRC for Self-assessment/PAYE payments.
- Copy of data protection from HMRC for NI records.
- VAT Certificates.
- Company Incorporation Certificate.
- Proof of taxes paid and refunds from HMRC.

Qualification assessment:
- UK NARIC Academic Qualification Statement.
- Original University Convocation Certificate.
- Original Academic Transcript.

UK Experience:
Agency contract copies.

Home & Finances:
- Original house agreements.
- Council tax bills.
- Utility bills: gas/electricity/water.

Got the approval letter in the end. Hopefully BRP will arrive soon.

Please note that I wasn’t given any form to fill in my self-employment details before my application but I did get a call from CW during application process asking me about my payments made to HMRC for personal taxes and reason I had requested SA statements from HMRC.
Fortunately they were all made on time. I had no amendments, all my self-assessments were done every year and no tax due. I made sure I submitted SA302 for 2015-16 as well with tax paid up to July 2016 for 2015-16.

Just a piece of advice for anyone who is due for their ILR, please make sure that self-assessment tax returns submitted to HMRC accurately reflects your earning through the company. They are definitely spending lots of time and energy in reviewing the self-employed applicants.

Any queries out there, happy to help!!

Thanks for reading patiently.

First of all Congratulations buddy !!

Please don't mind for below questions

Did they ask your 2010-11 SA statement (SA302) ? Is your initial tier 1 general issued in 2011 ? I have seen you didn't submit sa302 for 2010-11 any reason ?

Thanks mate.

I entered UK in Aug 2011 and started working as a contractor for an Umbrella company and by definition it is considered to be 'employed'.

I started contracting through my own Ltd company in Oct 2012 so self-assessments were done for the period Oct 2012 to Apr 2013 which I submitted with my application.

Thanks
