Hi,
I am on a Tier 2 visa sponsored by my current employer and i have an offer from another employer who is willing to sponsor my visa.
The problem is my current notice period, which is 3 months, so considering that i have asked the new employer to set the COS start date as 2 months 25 days away from the date of issue so that i will have enough time to apply for visa and serve between 2 months to 2 ½ months notice period depending on how soon i get the new BRP card.
I understand that i cannot give complete 3 months notice as i will have to join the new company on the start date mentioned on COS which will obviously be less than 3 months away when i hand in notice, so i am thinking to use my left over holidays to reduce the notice period.
1. can i use my holidays to reduce my notice period by 3 weeks and if so, what would be my last day at work in the eyes of UKVI, would it be after 2 months 1 week or after 3 months?
2. Can i join new company on the start date while being on holiday at the old company or would this be a problem during ILR?
Please help and let me know if there are any other options?
