Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General March 2011

Post by only4u_530 » Wed Jul 27, 2016 12:17 pm

Hi

I have entered UK in May 2011 however my visa was issues under rules - April 2010 & April 2011. I have been staying in UK since then,

2011 - 2014 Tier2 ICT Established staff
2014 - 2016 Tier 2 ICT long term staff
2016 - 2019 Tier 2 ICT long term staff

Questions -

1. Is there any chance to get an ILR?
2. If I wish to change my visa to Tier 2 general - will there be a 6 year cap on my visa?
3. Just in case if I succeed in getting Tier 2 general visa will my ICT term calculated for ILR?
4. Do I have any scope for ILR in any of the other mediums?

Thanks in Advance.

Yes, continue on your Tier 2 ICT and apply ILR under Long Residence(10 years) or,
Switch to Tier 2 General and apply under 5 year route

2. If I wish to change my visa to Tier 2 general - will there be a 6 year cap on my visa?
Yes, but only from the point from when you switch the 6 year cap starts
3. Just in case if I succeed in getting Tier 2 general visa will my ICT term calculated for ILR?
No, for ILR based on 5 year Tier 2 General route
Yes, for ILR under Long Residence(10 years)

4. Do I have any scope for ILR in any of the other mediums?
Not many. You may switch to a dependent visa if your spouse is a primary applicant. This could give you the freedom of working with any employer while keeping your Long Residence ILR chances alive.
Switch to Student visa
