Multiple FPN

Post by ONJOLONE » Mon Aug 01, 2016 4:51 am

Hello seniors and advices,
I need info and advice, please I have a friend with multiple traffic offences with the latest 2 months ago but that's the only one within the past 12 months. Will that affect his visa extension

He had the first in 2013 for speeding (3 points and fine- all sorted)
Second one for speeding( opted for disqualification
Third for speeding ( points given and fine paid
Last one is in the past 2 months ( points given and fine paid)

I really need feedback please and insights into the outcome for people with similar situation

Most of us will be sorting the kids out and going to work, you'll have to wait until someone has time.

Persistent Offenders: FPNs
"The decision maker will not consider these unless the person has:
a. failed to pay and there were criminal proceedings as a result; or
b. received numerous fixed penalty notices which would suggest a pattern of
behaviour that calls into question their character."

Does your husband not understand the concept of speed limits? This will also greatly affect an application to British citizenship in the future.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Must have been tanking it on the one he took a disqualification for. That one must have gone to court which doesn't make things easy....

He did not "opt" for disqualification in any meaningful sense.

It was a penalty imposed by the court after your husband's guilty plea, or following his conviction despite an earlier plea of not guilty. Hopefully the fotmer, as that at leadt suggests he accepted responsibility.
