Tier 2 General Dependent Proof of accommodation

Hello Everyone,

I am planning to apply for a Tier 2 dependent visa for my wife and Its mentioned in other posts that i need to provide proof of accommodation in the form of rental agreement or a NOC from the landlord. I am currently renting an 2 bed apartment and when i checked with my letting agent, they informed that due to the new "Right to rent" legislation, my contract doesn't allow another adult to live at the property until they verify her right to live in the UK (which needs her passport and Visa).

This is a conflict because without the proof I wont be able to secure her visa. But without the visa my wife cant live at the property.

I am not sure how to tackle the situation and proceed with the application. Any advise on the issue would be much appreciated!

The tenancy agreement and perhaps council tax bill should suffice.

Agent could write a letter simply about the size of the property and that if her visa is approved and they can verify her right to reside, she could be added as a 'permitted occupier'.
