If you now have a question on naturalisation and the privilege of citizenship then you need to post it in the BC forum (not here).
Is there anyway we can allow even newly registered users like me to put timelines in their signatures, this would help make it tidier and clearer.

Also would be really happy if people could be a lot clearer on what grounds they are applying, I'm keen to see if we can spot trends if EU people get it quicker than EEA or not, if it is truly random based on case worker or if there are some applications that go quicker than others. With everyone just saying they are EEA and not specifying it gets harder to spot trends.

With regards to your earlier question on why people call themselves EEA not EU, the card when it comes through clearly states 'for a national of an EEA state' so the Home Office do not differentiate between EU and EEA when they issue the cards.

That might well be the case but unless we are tidier and neater we can't say one way or the other as no trends can be spotted.

Only trend there is - it takes 3 times as long as it did at the beginning of the year regardless of your status :)

Phoned them as well on the 6th only to be told to wait a few more days to see wether they make a contact.
Phoned them again around 10/07 and been told if progress request was submitted that prods them to react.
Passports arrived: 14/07/2016 (latter inside dated 10/07/2016)

Now waiting for the permanent residence certificate and card...
Great news ..I submitted progress form on the 5th July ...but still no luck.
When you rung them , have they asked you any details such as ref no?
No, they didn't. They said they have no access to the office directly. They can only prod them (somehow) to have a look at the case. I feel it wouldn't help.

I called this:

Enquiries from European citizens
Telephone: 0300 123 2253
Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm
Friday, 9am to 4:30pm

But they were pretty useless. It seems it's just an info line, not related with the home office whatsoever. All they kept saying was follow the process...

Update: my application has been refused.

Dated: 28/7
Received: 1/8

Refusal is a combination of lack of CSI (which is wrong, since my yellow registration certificate was issued before 20/06/2011) and a misunderstanding in my timeline.

I will ask for reconsideration and reapply if it comes back negative.

Morning, sad to hear that you should request them for reconsideration with some extra evidences if you can I hope it does work.

HELP NEEDED PLEASE

I applied for a residence card for my daughter on the 13th of July and soon after realised that the process will take far longer than i could wait. I am meant to be taking them all to Greece for a week today for their summer holiday.

I requested documents to be returned a few days later maybe the 15th and i am still waiting. I have called, emailed, sent posted letters and i am now desperate. i have changed the dates to the 10th and now i am desperate to find a solution. i found an email on this site today and i have emailed them too.

Any one have any ideas

Advice needed:-
We applied for PR in March, ME, my husband (NON EU) and two children. Daughter is 8 years old and son is 7 years old. I am working since 2010. I send my all employment details but in 2010 and 11 my income was aprox 40000 p.a but my husband was in full time employment. I am worried that 2011 my income was 4000 aprox as part time worker, will that be a problem?. My kidz who are school going and we don't have CSI for them, will that be a problem for HO to refuse? Kindly suggest we are confused with recent trends, and we are in long wait as well.

Did you have a "non-standard" application? Such as self-sufficiency? Mine is not the simplest and I'm wondering if that slows things down.
