Family Visit Visa Query

Hi All ,

I am a Brtish National and would apply for family visit visa for my parents.
My Query is my father is employed in India and would return to India after a couple of weeks stay and I want my mother to stay for 5 months who is a dependent of my father (housewife) .

Is there any better way to apply for the visit visa for my parents as if I say to UKBA that both of my parents would go back after a couple of weeks stay in the UK and if my mother stayed for more than the intended period her future applications would be under severe scrutiny for the above reason .

Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

UKBA was abolished in 2013.

HO/UKVI plays hardball.

Yes, mom would face probable refusal in future if you took that approach.

Presumably parents should apply separately.
5 months seems more like residing than visiting though.
