Hi Ajay,

Yes I am a manager for a telecom IT company.

I have recently moved into this role.

Could you post your views on the importance or need of Prince 2 in UK market?

A project manager after only 6.5 years experience? I'm impressed!

PRINCE 2 is really only useful in the public sector. Noone else really asks for it. Companies are after people management and negotiation skills more than technical PM training.

In telecoms, probably 50K in London and 40K in Southampton I'd guess for someone of your experience. Maybe a bit more.

Not again !

Don't expect this role here. You may get good package but, not as manager, you should able to do some technical work.

Refer http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=22293 for expereince of people landed here in job.

Well simply forget about being a Manager with 6.5 exp.
You need to start it over again from square one.

Even in IT skills matters a lot.

Any way to give you rough idea it could be as low as £20k (Out of London and non-banking Finance) to £50k (London and in Banking/Finance Sector Software Development)

For contracting it will be anywhere from £10/hr to £60/hr (London Banking Sector)

If you gotta any experience in C/C++/UNIX and related stuff with EXCELLENT Banking/Finance/Insurance domain then you will rock.

Hope it helps.
