UK Spouse visa 2016

Post by bloodfire » Thu Aug 11, 2016 10:45 am

Hi All,
I am British Citizen and my wife is applying for spouse visa from India.
I am aware of all the required documents.
I get paid on last Friday of every month, (last pay date 29 July 2016)
my bank statement comes by post on 22nd to 25th of each month.
my question is; by the time I get my bank statement and send it to my wife my next payslip comes out (26 August 2016) and my current payslip get older then 28 days so can she apply for visa on 29 August 2016 or after?
providing February to July payslips ?

Thank you.

Any reason why you can't go into the bank and ask for the most recent bank statement?

You don't have to wait for the statement. When ready just print the online statement/transactions and get that stamped from the branch. Ensure all the supporting documents MUST not be older than 28 days.

You can also change the date of statement to whatever date you want by phoning or visiting the bank.

I visted my Bank (Barclays bank) and they told me that either I can Print statement from the branch which doen't saw full account number. I can print my statement online on 21 August but they refused to stamp it for me. its too late to change the dates of the statement for this month.

Try another Barclays Branch if you have or Request the Temporary Bank statement through telephone. If I remember Barclays attach a Letter saying that temporary statements are generated in that particular format.

Hi,

I went to my local Barclays branch and got them to write me a letter to say all statements from x month year to x month year are true copies of the originals and verified.

I've submitted around 12 months worth (6 more than needed).

They shouldn't refuse at all.

I manage to print out the translation from branch with they stamp on it.
it does not have my address but it shows my name, account no & sort code.
hopefully this should work!

I'm confused - can't you print your online statements from online banking? it takes less than a minute...
Also if your current branch says no - go to another..

one of my main income accounts is with barclays - printed all statements online - got branch to write a letter to say they are authentic.

if they say no - go elsewhere....don't waste time if you aren't getting anywhere with your existing branch

Getting bank statements is a major issues.

There are alot of discrepencies.

They usually refused to stamp them if they are busy as they have to check each statment against their database and your account history on their computer to ensure the printed/copy statements have not been tampered with.

Insist and tell them it is part of the home office requirement (eventhough banks are not obliged to follow this).

I had to really push my bank to get mine stamped (Barclays) as i didnt have all the originals - they eventually gave in :P

I didn't think it was this hard to get bank statements?

I just walked in with all the online printed statements - because there was 12 months worth, they wrote a letter for me to say they are all authentic.
!

My Mrs got her visa 4 days ago which is great news!
