Why does T1E not have premium or super premium service?

Post by seasky » Wed Aug 10, 2016 11:00 pm

(firstly am I correct in the above assumption for both extension and ILR)

Is there a logic to this HO decision?

The GOV.uk website suggests that these services are not available for Tier 1E applicants.

https://www.gov.uk/ukvi-premium-service ... he-service

The logic is probably that the checks required for most Tier 1 applicants (except Tier 1 General) are much more extensive and cannot be done on the same day. I guess the confirmation checks from banks or the genuineness evaluation will take much longer than a day.

Still 6 months is a long time.
So basically no travel for over 6 months.
And how is one to conduct his business if the business involves him travelling overseas.

I guess the current several months of delay is due to a big backlog at the HO rather than checks. The regular cuts and staff shortages is a big problem at the moment

It is possible to use a super premium service. One of my friends switched from Graduate Entrepreneur. They came to the solicitor office but did not approve the visa on the day. Super premium applications usually takes about 2 weeks instead of 3 months. They are also way nicer and will call you if something is missing.

They should be 'way nicer' for £8.750 per visit, plus the premium service fee for your application type. :|

So the info on website is not accurate then. :?
I guess for ILR it would be nice to have a premium service for Tier 1E. If we have to wait for 6 months to hear for ILR, then our naturalization could be delayed significantly as we have to wait for a year after ILR to apply and then another 6 months wait for naturalization to go through :?

7. When you can't use the service
You can’t use the premium service if you’re applying under Tier 1 (Investor).

You can’t use the premium or super premium service if you’re:

a business person, innovator, sole representative or investor
a Turkish business person
a self-employed lawyer
applying under Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur)
applying under Tier 1 (Entrepreneur)
applying for Stage 1 endorsement under Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent)

This is the info on the website.
