Start date on BRP: 04-10-2013
End date on BRP: 15-12-2016
I have a few questions regarding Tier 2 extension. Any help would be much appreciated.
- 1. I understand that i can apply for visa extension 3 months before the current visa end date(15-12-2016), so that'll be 15-9-2016, is that correct?
2. How early can my employer issue a COS, can it be done now or they have to wait untill 15-9-2016?
3. I understand that the start date on the new COS has to be day after current expiry, so that'll be 16-12-2016?
4. Since you can only stay under Tier 2 for a maxium of 6 years, would the end date on the COS be 6 years from the start of my first COS or 3 years from start of the new COS? because if its 3 years from the start of the new COS, the total period would a little over 6 years.
5. also do you have to give up your old BRP card? am going on holiday on 19th of october and just in case i dont get the new BRP card in time, i was wondering if i can use the old one. My company is willing to pay for same day priority service. so i should get the new card in a week or 2.
And finally my SOC code 2137 isnt on the shortage occupation list, I am earning £30k, which is £5k up from 3 years ago. I there anything i should worry about regarding this or any other common mistake people make while applying for extension?
