I hope i get it by Friday - Mine is a Work permit, so I am just trying to keep my employers happy till then

Hi all,

Finally I received the courier today from BlueDart and I got post dated visa as requested.

Thanks for this forum.

Time lines for me

Applied for EC @ VFS,Hyd - Dec 19th (Some where around 2.00 pm)
Later asked BHC and confirmed that they have started on my application only on Dec 27th.
Integra Verification: No idea about this
Status: Successful - Received on 18th Jan 2008
Courier Received: Jan 19th

Thanks to this forum - As it was of great help and motivator to me

Actually mail to the bhc @ 3.40 p.m on 18th Jan also said that they are processing Dec 2nd week applications - But you never know

Hope all ppl applied on 3rd week of December should get early next week.

Seeing shashkul's post, here is a guess, every day the applications are divided to case workers and a if your case worker has got an application that has issues, then probably your case gets delayed in processing. On the other hand if you case worker has straight forward cases, your case is likely to come faster. This thought just came across seeing saashkul applied on 19th venkat on 17th.

i guess its not like that..There are many factors for one to get visa early..one of my friend who applied with me on the same day got his visa by jan first week itself.It all depends how fast is your integra screening gets over and the report is received..Plus if your case is assigned to a case worker who went on a long holiday...it will be put on hold for quiet sometime after they come ..as they need to finish their previous cases..And another thing regarding documentation,mine is very much straight forward i guess ..Hope everything goes alright!! Lets pray!

i am not sure we can interpret it that way - i.e that non straightforward cases are taking longer to process.

as venkat said , it could even depend on luck -which caseworker it is alloted to etc

lets hope for the best.

i think more or less - except for some cases ,they are done with first fortnight december applications

and now as per shashkul's post , they have taken up week 3 for processing

there were just 2 working days dec 4th week - wonder whether 4 th week applications will be taken up alongside next week or will be clubbed with jan first week applications

lion has taken a oath of silence on this thread till the BHC gives his EC ..similar to the fasts undertaken by gandhi to get justice from the brits not too long ago - he is open to answering pm's on the status

lets hope for good news from him tommorrow - all the best to the rest of you.

kmsr , i wrote an email enquiring status to BHC last monday and got reply on wed that they "are in receipt of my verification report" and "a decision is still pending on my application"

praying hard for me and all the rest waiting results

mm..hope this week is going to rock...i was not at all nervous even during my 12th standard public exam results...lol..but this EC makes me tensed and nervous!!!

I got mail response today.

Dear Sir

Please be informed that your application has not been assessed as yet due to the unusual number of applications we have been receiving. Visa Officers are presently assessing HSMP applications received in the second week of December 2007. We are trying to deal with these applications as expeditiously as possible.

You may check with us around 29 January 2008.

Hi guys - I just now got a mail from BHC

Dear sir/madam

This is to inform you that your passport has sent to Bangalore VFS office
and you can go and collect if from Monday to Friday between 2pm to 3pm.

Others - another week of waiting starts for us

youre right venkat , we were not so tense even about exam results in the past

someone had posted on a new thread about ec rejection but he has not given any detail of reasons.

so rambabu and few others are still pending from pre dec 15th ....hope for updates from all of them in the next couple of days

reincarnation , we cant go by timelines of wp applications - especially if the wp was filed by a company which is on business express program with BHC and files wp regularly every month.

does any body know about when the status of passport on VFS website is updated.... and the decision of EC is taken be BHC and then the passports are handed over to VFS.. and then only the status might be updated???/

what do you think..... or the BHC staff can update the details on VFS website.....

Hi,

I saw the VFS guy pasted a barcode sticker on the application packet. I think before giving the application packet to blue dart, VFS scans the barcode and the data is updated in the VFS website.
