My understanding is you can request passport back for that very purpose. Search forum.helpingperson wrote:Hello
Does anyone know if one can book and take Life in the UK test without having passport as it is with Home Office?
Can someone use any other form of ID other than passport or Resident Card?
Any suggestions please.
Thank you.
I booked the test with my biometric card but then had to apply for a visa for another country, so I went in and changed to driving license. It worked fine - no questions askedhelpingperson wrote:Hello noajthan
After some research on forum and on google, found that Full UK driving license is acceptable form of ID. Please could you kindly confirm this is correct as don't want to make mistake?
I would prefer not to withdraw my passport from HO if possible.
