It said my case could take up to 6 months but I guess it's just a standard automated reply?

I am still waiting. Others have already got theirs and they were processed later than mine.... :?

I'm afraid that if I request my passport back Home Office will withdraw my application or reply with a refusal... :/
No, not necessarily; depends on options chosen when you make the request,

Questions on citizenship should be opened in BC the forum; this jumbled mess of an EEA-related topic is hard enough to follow as it is.

I didn't submit any evidence of CSI. I lost the EHIC card I had at the time which I explained in a cover letter but the rest of my documents supported over 5 years of exercising other treaty rights so the CSI wasn't too important.

Sorry, probably not terribly helpful in your case.

Hi all
I requested passports back.
Could someone have information, how long it's takes to get my passports back?
Could I need to received some e-mail from them or it's will be in 10 working days, as told the Web page?

Record reported on forum is 4 days. Sometimes it takes weeks.
HO may choose not to return passport.
Your mileage may vary.

Hi Salmintin,
I just came cross your post and sorry to know that your application has been refused.
So, have you done anything after this ? And how is it going on if I can ask ?
My application was sent to HO only one day later than yours, I don't know what's happening ....
salmintin wrote:Update: my application has been refused.

Dated: 28/7

Refusal is a combination of lack of CSI (which is wrong, since my yellow registration certificate was issued before 20/06/2011) and a misunderstanding in my timeline.

I will ask for reconsideration and reapply if it comes back negative.

You need to prove residency in UK as well as exercise of treaty rights (by you or sponsor, if any);
plus prove your identity ofcourse (and relationship to sponsor, if you have a sponsor).
Any absences from UK need to have been within limits.

As you've applied already all you can do is sit tight and wait for the result; this may take 6 months or so.

noajthan, my case is straightforward i mean im eea national, and i dont have sponsor, i am the main applicant. i came in england in 2009 but, 2009 and 2010, i was working only 6 months, but from 2011 till now, all the time i was working, i was afraid that i coulnd send the tenancy agrements from all this 5 years , but in my application i sent letter from national insurance plus from pay taxes as well. but you are right now all i can do is to wait . hopefully is gonna be earlier than 6 months. Thank you noajthan. and
