Counting 5 years start date

Post by VirtualWaver » Mon Aug 22, 2016 6:58 am

Hi All,

A quick one please: my first Tier 2 visa was granted on October, 2013 but the actual Start Date in COS was Jan 2014 so my visa was granted until Jan 2017.

Do I need to start counting my 5 years period for ILR from the day my first tier 2 visa was issued (October 2013) or from Start Date mentioned in COS, which is Jan 2014? Thanks a lot!

Your ILR qualification starts from the date on the first Tier 2 entry clearance.

Thanks, so it's starting from October 2013 and I can apply for ILR in October 2018? Thanks.
