Hi!
We have confirmed the application form online but unfortunately I could not change the date of arrival in the UK which was on the 15th of august but we just had confirmed on the 27th of august. I know it did not quite match with those dates but would it be one reason to refuse my children's application?

You can just change the date on the paper form when you print it to submit with documents.

Would it be okay to write the date on the side of the original dates that I have put? Would it still be acceptable though?

Yes, I changed a few things by hand when I printed the application.
