Tier -2 ICT - Dependent Delayed travel

Post by anishbdj » Tue Aug 30, 2016 7:07 pm

Can anyone please help me know.
My employer is applying ICT Tier 2 Short Term visa for me and my wife(as dependent).
But due to some personal reason she cant travel right now and will be able to travel 3-4 months after my travel. I want her visa to be issued with mine right now.

In this scenario, can I collect her BRP from post office in UK? Or is there any alternative that she is not in UK and her BRP can be collected?

Please anyone help me.

How long will your visa be valid for?

She has to enter the UK within 30 days otherwise her vignette expires. She has to collect her BRP as she needs to present her passport. Might be best for her to apply when she is ready.

Any reason why she can't apply separately from you?

Thanks again,

Me and my wife work in same company, and she will get leaves only after 3-4 months.
And also I doubt once I am in UK then my employer will not invest in dependent visa because my stay is aroud 6 months only.
That's why I wanted to have her visa right now, and she can travel later on.

Employers don't usually pay for the dependents.

She will only get a 30 day visa. If she can't travel, she will have to apply for a replacement which costs a couple of hundred pounds.

Thanks,

My employer pays for dependent visa and travel both.

While applying can I specify her start date 3-4 months after my start date?

Also, can you let me know the replacement procedure and cost?

Yes it can but whether it is processed like that if you apply together is another story.

UKVI might not process as you want it to be and are likely to issue her visa with the same start date as yours.

Thanks for response,

I got to know that if I file my wife's visa later (2-3 months), then I would have to provide a tenancy agreement to show where she would be living in UK.
But I will be sharing a flat with my friend in a House in multiple occupation (HMO). So will it be OK to show the HMO house agreement with the other documents.
Or is it mandatory to show a tenancy agreement showing a flat rented to only one family?

I am trying to find all the solutions which can help me get my wife in UK with me in best possible way.

If you are intending to live with your wife in HMO accommodation you will need to submit a property inspection report as evidence that the accommodation is adequate and there will be no overcrowding.

You will also have to submit written confirmation from the landlord giving permission for you and your wife to live there.
