If priority date is CURRENT, how long is green card process?

Post by lanwarrior » Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:08 am

Hi all,

My lawyer just filed my PERM on December 2007 and I expect I should received approval from DOL sometimes in February 2008. I am filling my green card applications under Employment Based Category 2 (EB2) and I am not from India or China, so my Visa Dates is CURRENT.

Assuming I can file both the I-140 and I-485 by March 2008, how long will it take before I receive my green card given that the EB2 Visa Dates are current?

I have been working in the US for almost 10 years (2 subsequent H-1B filed, with the first one passed the 6 years mark), so I don't foresee DOL or USCIS "audit" my applications.
